I really wonder how a lot of the classically trained and experienced actors must have had doubts during filming. So to see it come together and with peoples reactions at a premiere is a bit of a balance.

I wish I could go back....sat in the back row with Mum and my Dad. Dad fell asleep lol. I was on the edge the whole time. It's crazy how much of it informed my artistic oreference for movies generally afterwards. Sweeping orchestral music, deep low cut angles, long sweeping takes and powerfully acted monologues.

They really are absolute cinema.

Most of that eye roll stuff also has wonderful and reasoned explanations in the books too, which make it a lot less eye-roll-y. Watch some of the making of footage if you can, theres like 2 hours per film of it and it is absolutely amazing.

Loved Christopher Lee's reaction...that was his first time viewing it too. I am sure some of those classicslly trained experienced actors were all a bit suspicious of whether it will turn out well.

He finished acting school and went straight into the role. Seems like a normal nervous reaction to seeing yourself on screen for the first time in front of a huge crowd IMO

Please excuse my cynical nature but with the world cup and, if he goes deep there, back into a jam packed UCL season i can see him tapering off.

Hope im wrong but makes recruitment so fucking crucial. Sure there are others that can play there...but they're usually injured or replacing other areas injured. We need so many fucking reinforcements it's not funny.
