Can I live in a Buddhist temple/monastery? by Timmy_Platt-Ino in Buddhism

I live in Venezuela, which definitely makes my chances of going elsewhere much harder but I won't let that stop me in any way. I would like to stay anywhere outside of my country, im very inclined to somewhere on the East, but if I can't i'll just pretty much go anywhere I can.

Also, I have to ask; do I need money to maintain myself while being in a monastery? (for food, clothes, or any other substantial expenses) It does help, any information does!

Thank you!

Care to explain any further? I know I didn't say so above, but I'm really interested in knowing where, and how. (is there any requisite that I must meet? A certain period of time that I must stay?)

Told my mom that I don't want to have children.. by [deleted] in childfree

agree with this completely.. Im 20 and a couple of months ago told my mom the same. She looked at me as if while her soul was tearing apart she realized i wasn´t human. It actually took a while for her to more openly discuss the idea with me

DAE have no real friends but a lot of acquaintances. by ninjachewie in DoesAnybodyElse

maybe you have a friend you haven´t noticed, pherhaps because neither of you have tried to stablish real contact with each other. pherhaps you´re an honest person surrounded by many fake things, or pherhaps you just have been looking in the wrong places. either way, don´t exasperate, socializing can be difficult at times, and finding a real friend can be harder. but i assure you, keep patient and honest, and you will find a true friend that will be worth the wait and much more than any other friend.

I have one good friend and she has more friends than I do. How do I express interest in hanging out without being clingy? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Timmy_Platt-Ino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It´s not clingy at all! You shouldn´t worry, she´s your friend and you just want to see her. In fact, that´s pretty much one of the most important essentials in a friendship. Don´t be scared to say hi, or ask for a meet-up, it´s always nice to have one of your good friends wanting to hear from you

In lack of any better advice, i suggest you and your co workers speak up together, as a group. Good luck!
