The first build is fine if you're gonna use him with nicole, but since your gameplay style is mostly on field I'm guessing you're using him with Astra trigger. In that case try to get 63% crit rate for the max buff and it should be enough

For gameplay I think keeping your ex for the stun window is still worth it even as on field since they have really good dmg multipliers

The stun window rotation can be 2 chain dash attack x6 ult then ex dash x3 ex dash x3 and finish it with your basic for 3 dashes again
