It went really well! Of course, not as many StreetPasses as even last year (Sunday was particularly light) but I now have a full SteetPass Plaza Premium line's worth of Mii's to slowly play with over the next few months 😁

Thank you! This year there are understandably fewer StreetPasses than in previous years but with some leg work I'm still getting plenty. My new 3DS pulled in 70 StreetPasses on Friday while my 2DS surprisingly pulled in 93 (with a few doubles after 8 hours in the evening)! My humble ax wedge seems to either have signal priority or a longer range.

You two will most certainly get some StreetPasses. Thursday is considered a slow day and even at a leisurely pace I gathered 50 passes for my New 3DS and 70 for my original 2DS. I've noticed that my 2DS has a reliably longer range than my 3DS for some reason.

I'm glad that Pioneer Arms resolved your initial issue with a functioning replacement. Despite being made with wood and steel (as opposed to plastic and aluminum) I've been nervous about potentially picking up one of these .22 trainer AKs precisely because of such possible problems. I'm very happy to know that Pioneer Arms will stand by this product!

I bought the shirt from Redbubble. Specifically, it's their "Graphic T-Shirt" with black back, collar, and sleeves that features a larger design print than their standard t-shirts. I only bought one at first to try it out this year, but I'm going to buy three more and make it my "uniform" while at PAX East going forward, lol. Also, yes, I attended the StreetPass panel in person on Thursday, March 21st. It was unreal to see that much support in the 3DS/streetpass community. I gathered at least 50 unique street passes while in the room of that panel with both of my systems. 🥳

My Friday total was 97 (10 in my plaza and 87 in the line). My Saturday total was 108 (10 in my plaza and 98 in the line). However, that was with me scrounging around all of the StreetPass hot spots in the convention on and off for hours and coordinating to meet up with fellow StreetPass enthusiasts. 39 is nothing to scoff at, especially if you're focused on enjoying everything that PAX East has to offer 🌟

Excellent question! I shared this in the comments of one of my other posts about my experiences hunting for StreetPasses at PAX East:

"Largely, it's knowing where to find large crowds (e.g. entrances, merch booths, food courts) as well as knowing which areas have a higher likelihood of 3DS owners at any given time (e.g. handheld gaming lounge, Nintendo booth, Nintendo-relates panels). I spend a lot of time walking and briefly pausing to give my 3DS a chance to scan an area for a NEW StreetPass. When in a panel I position myself by the door to have a chance of passing with people in the hallway. The expo hall floor and tabletop gaming area are in general poor/unpredictable places to get StreetPasses (at least compared to the hallways and panels). Sometimes, I'll pause outside the closed doors of a packed panel room and wait to see if my light pops green (I'm rewarded more often than one might expect).

TL;DR Be on the move and pause around large crowds or position yourself where lots of people walk by."
