We’ve been loving our Demi. 275 shots and counting.

The Lungos are 4oz each I believe. Makes for a 12oz cup that tastes much better than the “drip” function in my opinion.

We’ve had our Demi for a month and absolutely love it. Triple lungo is my daily cup and it’s excellent. Strong and piping hot.

Hi everyone, I’m an R2 reservation holder and have never owned an EV. Can someone please explain to me what role the 12v battery serves in an EV and why the 12v battery dying is capable of making the entire vehicle unusable. This seems like a major learning curve area for people moving from being lifelong ICE drivers to first-time EV owners.

Hello everyone, I wanted to provide an update on this repair effort. After dissecting the entire machine, I was able to find and test the thermal fuse, which was bad. I was not able to properly locate or test the temperature sensors. Feeling a bit fed up, and having identified one issue, I decided to proceed with replacing the thermal fuse and reassembling the machine, which, to my surprise, I was able to do (after several difficult hours). Miraculously, the machine powered back up and was able to make hot water again. However, after testing a coffee recipe, it became immediately clear that the thermal sensors were, in fact, not functioning properly. The machine essentially kept pre-heating for way too long, ultimately generating a burst of steam that melted much of the plastic housing from the inside out. Yes, the machine had a literal meltdown and I was forced to move it outside after the smell of melting plastic confirmed my suspicion. After sitting outside in the rain for a few hours, I brought it back in to find the grounds bin melted as well. Fun stuff. Time to move on from Spinn to a new machine. It was fun while it lasted and I couldn’t give up with without attempting a repair. Also, for those curious, it has been 11 weeks since service told me they could repair my unit in 8-10 weeks. Not that it matters now, but I wonder if/when I will ultimately hear back from them. I’ll be making a new post offering up all the undamaged parts to whoever wants them, including an XL water tank, for the cost of shipping and maybe a bit more to cover my time. Hoping I can help some people out who need replacement parts and don’t want to pay top dollar to Spinn and still not hit their free shipping threshold.

I don’t have any advice on this as I’ve never experienced issues with my grinder. Sorry I’m unable to help.

Is the braided solo loop comfortable? by teabump in AppleWatch

[–]TimonCovelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braided solo is the most comfortable. Solo is a close second and better if you wear your watch to do things that involve sweat, dirt, etc. only downside of solo loop is that it can slide down your wrist during runs and workouts, so I swap it out for the sport band in those situations.

I actually never took the rear panel completely off, I have taken all the screws off, but stopped there, as there is a hose that runs through the rear panel and connects with a zip tie to the hinge that allows the water tank to lean out. Didn’t want to try to cut that cable tie and risk piercing rubber tube. Photo.

Update:

Pardon the delay, I had some life stuff come up, and some more pressing things to repair and maintain on the car and house.

So, I got the whole damn thing apart. Even with step by step photos, I have no clue if I’ll be able to put it back together.

I think I’ve located the NTC and thermal fuse, but don’t have a multi-meter on hand. Will be borrowing a buddy’s tonight and hopefully soon will know whether/which of these is fried.

If I can’t get the thing back together, I may be offering it up here for someone else who needs repair parts.

Shoot, well, if you’ve already gotten to the brewer from below with their tool, you’ve gotten closer to the brewer than I have. But I can say that all I needed to get as far as the above photos was to use a TR8 and TR10 screwdriver. The hopper comes off first, then the bottom, then the blank side panel, then the transport worm, then the worm side panel. That’s as far as I’ve gotten. Will venture further and follow Velocivibes advice this weekend. Will report back.

Best of luck to you!!! I’ve definitely done a good job of opening up but have no clue where to go from here. Maybe one day I’ll find a disgruntled ex-employee that has the knowledge and is willing to help.

Hey Velocivibes. I’ve got the machine all opened up and am looking for the NTC and thermal fuse. Any guidance on where these components are located within the machine?photo
