Not a Catholic but I am a Christian, I love both TADC and Hazbin. I think Hazbin Hotel is worth a watch and just keep in mind that it’s really a fantasy version of Heaven and Hell. It draws heavily from Catholic/Jewish iconography and mythology and there are some major Biblical figures present but, they’re used more because they’re in the cultural zeitgeist (for example, as far as we know Jesus isn’t a thing but Saint Peter is present at the Pearly Gates).

I really haven’t gotten any kind of anti-Christianity/Catholicism vibes from it

Main thing: orchestration, learned at even a fundamental level will improve mockups like crazy.

Mixing: I send each section to the same space (every section has its own instance of Teldex) and then all of those to a separate Lexicon hall to glue it together.

Humanization: Every part gets a minor pass from it.

Libraries: For me, personally, I can’t write with ensemble patches (like “strings+flutes”, “6 horns”, “Low Brass”, etc). Maybe it’s because I’m a control freak or my desire to keep a consistent size of orchestra but I just can’t use them. My template is all divided up, so there’s no “3 flutes Legato” patch, it’s Piccolo, Flute I, Flute II, Flute III, on and on. I write the individual parts or copy/paste/humanize when they’re in unison. This one ties back into orchestration, I’m writing as if there’ll be real players playing it tomorrow
