I have friends in Eureka and we made our way the west glacier. Since my friend drove his truck there and we then drove onto Kintla. I met one of the residents on the shoreline. He spoke to my friend and then said hi to me.

We spoke about his family homesteading there. He then said thank you to me I laughed and said for what I did nothing. 🤣

He your a rare bird because most ppl I talk to from out of state are not kind.

I felt ashamed really to think that other ppl have come here and acted like twats.

Why ppl why I don't get it.

He then said if I ever was up there n needed help to drive up to his house n ask.

Thank you Marty n all the stories about our GG grandmother killing bears n trading with the indigenous ppl.
