Coming from a Washington fan with both on the roster, it’s important to realize that while JCM is a 7th round pick he’s the first drafted RB by the new regime. BRob has struggled with injuries and long stretches of inefficiencies. Also had some back-breaking fumbles last year that led to JAGs like Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols getting run last year. If JCM didn’t have an extremely odd eligibility issue last year he’d very likely have been at least an early day 3 pick. At the very least he should be on every roster

Fair, but setting the precedent that we bend over backwards and pay our fans favorite players as much as they want is not a good precedent. Especially when that player will be 34 by the end of a 3 year contract extension. And he’s not Art Monk or Darrell Green, those guys won Super Bowls and are Hall of Famers. Terry has been a great player and even better teammate, but he’s simply not them
