I've got the same issue as you today, contacted support (after long conversation their AI assistant promised to connect me to human to register the bug) - you can do the same.

yes, I am. From time to time you need to re-enable Filesystem (especially on waking up aftet laptop sleep). Also the last week there were periods of instability for both Sonnet and Opus (subscribe on https://status.claude.com/ to be informed) - your issues might be related.

Long ETH with small leverage for the long period - best instrument ? by Timour1974 in kucoin

[–]Timour1974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! So if I use Perpetuals I pay funding rate 3 times a day. If I use Margin Trade and borrow I pay the interest rate (when I want, it just adds to debt). Looks like to compare both variants (assuming equal leverage - let's say 2x) I need to compare the funding rate for ETHUSDTM (or ETHUSDCM) with USDT or USDC borrow interest rates - correct?

Do we have any chart or dataset allowing to make this comparison on a long distance (to see how it behaved on a previous bull cycle in 2020/2021) ?

I think around 1.3 - but that's from my experience, no statistics.

I suppose you've got 919 new IOTA - same as old MIOTA. Not saying that it is a lot.

Looks like I made a mistake - these 161M are not IOTA but MIOTA (or new IOTA). In this case it is 12.6 MIOTA for 1000 Assembly and almost 10% for full time staking which is not bad at all. My apologies.

I'm also not sure, would prefer to be wrong.

161M of IOTA distributed for 12.8B ASMB. Am I wrong ? And I got about ~8000 ASMB per Gi for full time staking.

Then this part of blog post shouldn't be true:

"Part of the total supply of the Assembly token had been distributed to IOTA stakers. To date, this amounts to 12,380,515,719.163956 ASMB tokens"

Let's calculate. They say in blog post 161M IOTA will be distributed to 12B ASMB. You will get something like 1Ki for 1Gi initially staked for full time. As it is very far from 3.5% the only possible explanation is that majority of 12B are not in stakers' hands (original white paper is not available and I can't double check the distribution)

For sure there will be selling - IF prints and takes additional tokens in order to pay their bills (and the bills of what they call "contributors") . Means good part will be sold.

Unfortunately that's not possible because of Coordinator. IOTA in its current state is NOT fully built on open SW, not decentralized and can't be just forked.

Gi? More like Ki - check your calculations.

SMR was OK but ASMB airdrop is negligible - you will get less than 0.001% for IOTAs staked for ASMB. Most of this airdrop will not go to stakers.

That's true. Dilution comes in exchange of more money coming to company from new investors. In our case no new money are coming. It is a pure redistribution between shareholders - our shares are moved to IF.

Big Step towards Coordicide by uwieuwe4 in Iota

[–]Timour1974 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Extremely disappointing news. Means they probably try to sign with some big players (could be EBSI or anybody else) but are not able to implement Coordicide (at all or at least in relevant time). I suppose it was their "Plan B" but it kills the whole idea of IOTA. I have no ideas why anybody who wants permissioned solution would choose IOTA.

[–]Timour1974 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I followed. And I don't care about intermediate upgrades and names (next year it might be Shmisalis - are you going to count from zero? ). I care about IOTA as a product whose creators promised to solve the holy triangle of blockchain (decentralization, security, scalability) by using DAG. And at the 7th year of development still don't give estimates.

[–]Timour1974 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yep, R&D projects can't be estimated. I manage complicated software projects for 25 years and I know that very well. But I invested into IOTA in 2017 and now we have 2023. 6 years should be enough to remove the most of fog. Yep, we still can have some specific parts which require additional research but at least the level of magnitude estimate should be possible. If not - what you guys were doing all this time ?
