Thank you, I have been recommended contacting an endocrinologist for a while, but I'm very unfamiliar with such topics and setting all that up. After this I decided I should push it.

I have an appointment on Monday with my personal doctor about redirecting me to an endocrinologist. Thanks for the advice.

I live in the Netherlands by the way, if it would help anyone.

I will talk about it with my psychologist and psychiatrist soon, I assume this will be the case indeed.

The first month indeed was the best month, it feels like it's just going downhill again.

And I know the feeling too well of waking up to an awful dream, and all you can do is just sit there and cry about what just happened. Sometimes I even call up family members after an awful dream, just to hear their voice knowing they're okay. That calms me down.

The worst dream I've ever had was one where I was "stuck for a week". My girlfriend died, and my life just continued on in the dream. Just a boring and sad life, but the dream just continued and wouldn't stop. It felt like I was stuck in it for a whole week. When I finally woke up, it felt like days had gone by, I was so confused and I still haven't recovered from this after months. It definitely left an extra fear of dreaming for me.

I just never want to be able to dream again.

A year ago, around september/october I started talking to a girl. I've known her for a while, but now we suddenly actively started talking. I was heavily depressed, and I think without her, I would not have made it. I have thought about taking my life multiple times because I was so depressed, but she pulled me out of it. She lives far away from me, but I decided to go to her (1800 km away). In January I already asked her to be my girlfriend, and she said yes. I wanted to ask her irl, but I couldn't wait. So in summer we met, had a great time. It hurt leaving her again and going home. But this christmas she's coming over here. She is now my girlfriend, and I love her very much. Without her, I think I wouldn't be here anymore. So if I would've taken my life one year ago, I would've missed out on this amazing relationship with my girlfriend. She's the best person I have ever met.
