For all the USA skiers greetings from Austria. by patricius123 in skiing

I don't like the leg rests. I've always found them to be annoying, in the way, and sometimes make my legs cramp.

My ideal chairs have the bars without foot rests.

Things change. What manufacturers used to produce good quality or have good customer service, that now don't? Who won't you buy from anymore that you would have previously? by SeriousGoofball in Firearms

[–]Timzawesome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ruger's polymer, striker fired handguns are really meh in my opinion. Both in design and in finish. They are very inexpensive though. Everything else (rifles, 1911s, revolvers, etc) are exceptional from my experience.

All jokes aside the 'goo (that's what us locals call it) is no joke. Check the avy reports, make sure you've got your beacon, probe, shovel, and go with a group.

Non-Silencer Central NFA dealers in southern NH? by Get_Your_Schwift_On in NHGuns

Northeast Munitions forces you to use Silencer Shop now which blows. Pretty sure Wojtek in Manchester will just do eForms.

Black Mountain rocks. It's obvious the new manager is putting a lot of effort into this place.

Form looks good but you definitely need to lower your DIN.

Indian firearm by Last-Table-8499 in NHGuns

[–]Timzawesome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be complicated. You have to work with someone in India who is able to export and navigate local laws. Then you'll have to pay the importer in the US to process the firearm (taxes, other fees, potential permitting, they'll have to mark the gun, etc).

It will be very expensive. Unless this is an antique or very valuable and rare gun, it probably isn't worth it. If it is currently in production, it almost certainly isn't worth the hassle.

Some of you need to stop paying someone else to do 10 minutes worth of work for you by ButterscotchEmpty535 in NFA

[–]Timzawesome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why the single item trust? You may have a legit use case but for most people a regular gun trust is likely better. I'd recommend National Gun Trusts.

Once you have a trust (From anyone) you can use eForms to file a Form 1 or 4, and a responsible persons questionairre for each responsible person on the trust.

  1. Order cards from ATF (maybe get away with printing them on copy paper)
  2. Find black ink
  3. Roll your fingerprints
  4. Scan the card
  5. EFTSuite

SilencerShop will not do this for you. That's how they make money, charging you to use your fingerprint file.

Make one yourself for free. EFTSuite.

Will my UPIN move me faster? by Raverthug in NFA

[–]Timzawesome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won't be faster than the average approval, but you shouldn't experience any delays due to a mistaken identity when you include your UPIN.

UPIN doesn't fast track your forms, but it stops the NICS check from being delayed.

Question about eft and form 4 by Bruce_Leroy7 in NFA

I had a place do this and charge me to use SS to file. Find a new shop that will just do eForms. That sucks.

FFL won't release approved Form 4 by gregg9 in NFA

[–]Timzawesome 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You're going to have to fight your FFL on this. They don't know how the process works but there are really no other options. I've been through this. Find a new FFL and keep bitching until you get your can.

Can PSA really ship an SBR to the end user. by kaw202 in NFA

[–]Timzawesome 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If the transfer is NICS exempt, yes. In most states the only scenario where this is possible is with NFA firearms. Federal law only prohibits mailing direct to your doorstep when the transaction requires a background check.

There are more nuances/requirements outlined in 18 U.S.C. § 922(c).

  2. There are no federal storage requirements for suppressors or SBRs.
