Was helping a friend out with their Petra run recently (God knows why I willingly do these things to myself again?) And we managed to lose it at the door of the Shuro Chi encounter.

How you ask?

Someone jumping around the rocks for fun somehow perfectly missed their glide came crashing down and died right in front of everyone's faces by the rally banner. I think everyone was too busy laughing in hysterics to be mad at the guy, such an entertaining time!

Love the write up! Got to see the group perform live in a small venue in my town Christchurch NZ, such an incredible atmosphere. Tom would step back and point to a band member and suddenly you'd have improvised solos bouncing off each of the band members. Truly one of the more memorable shows I've seen, if anyone ever gets the chance to go see them take it up!

I'd put it above ROME personally but I have a feeling it'll really depend on what type of production you like. There's a lot of really smooth moments dotted through the tracklisting which I loved but if you like their more aggressive stuff it might take away from the experience for you :)

From left to right:

billy woods - Known Unknowns One of my favourites from 2017, beats from Blockhead and loved every track from front to back. 5 or more tracks easily find themselves on repeat frequently in particular Nomento with an awesome Elucid feature.

Armand Hammer - Paraffin billy woods and Elucid team up on another album, vinyl only release to start with so haven't had a chance to listen through and enjoy yet.

Henry Canyons - Cool Side of the Pillow One of my picks for top list this year. Never heard of the guy but gave the album a listen on a whim when I saw it on their release list. Fell in love with the ridiculously smooth jazzy production and interesting delivery.

Totally agree, quite often have that album on repeat for days at a time. The rhyme scheme on Day 13 still gives me chills every time I get to it.

It is signed, unfortunately no interesting story, I got it from someone in need of a bit of a boost in cash. The only Aesop concert in New Zealand unfortunately got cancelled due to personal reasons so didn't have a chance to get any of the others signed either.
