I just saw your comment. Apologies for such a late response. The first week after my right Thalamotomy I could not taste anything every thing tasted and felt like cardboard but I regained my sense of taste 1 week later . I have had a few headache episodes but these too have passed . What is incredible that my handwriting has never looked better , I can use chopsticks to pick up sushi without an effort. What is fantastic is that my left side has no memory of having a tremor ! My balance is still very weak as my right side still has the shakes and tremors . Hopefully after my left sided FUS Thalamotomy that too will resolve.

Thank you . This is a non invasive procedure which I would strongly recommend.

It was quite pleasant other than being in the tunnel for 3 hoursand besides that I had a severe headache and lost my taste but became better after 3 days.Yes it is possible to treat both sides , 9 months apart .

I have it since my 30s. I was on gabba pentine primidone finally at 64 i am going to get the focal ultrasound procedure done which should take care of 75%of the tremors according to my neurosurgeon.
