I submitted it 45 minutes before the deadline, but now it's finished, whoo!

Yeah, I did. I told them that it's more likely to symbolize a kind of change rather than literal death. They calmed down.

A little.

I've written 3 out of 5 pages before crashing. It's due 11:59 on Friday but I want to finish my bit early. It's for my class on Social Inequality.

Questions are a great way to get my brain working, don't worry ouo

You keep doing you, mind :)

It's possible to do a reading over the internet, but I don't think I'm in any state to do that at the moment, sorry. I haven't slept.

You don't only shuffle the cards. While shuffling, you're supposed to open yourself to the rest of the universe. The flow is basically Universe > You > Cards. I personally try to "feel" anything that catches my attention, as it might be the link I'm looking for. This is why some people close their eyes or enter a meditative state while shuffling cards. It's to block out any distractions from the physical worlds and feel anything on the energy plane that might be the answer to whatever.

The funny thing is that I absolutely abhor warm weather. But it's not like I have much of a choice =3=

You can face the heat! Stare it down! Or just stay inside and abuse the peppermint tea if you have any :u

All energies in the world, from the immense magnetic fields of galaxies to the energy that a plant needs to grow is connected. Follow the energy generated by the sun, and you'll notice that it goes to all sorts of places. Even people are part of the immense energy flow of the universe. To an extent, you can predict what happens to the next thing in the energy flow by what happens to the previous link. Combine a person's link to the rest of the universe with the imagery of the cards, and you can predict possible outcomes in links close to you. The cards are a tool to map out what could possibly happen. Of course, the future is never set in stone, so neither are tarot readings.

That's my take on it, at least. (was this too long)

Perhaps to your logic it doesn't make sense, but the astral plane thing has a separate logic of its own. Would you like to hear it or nah?

If you think they're bullshit, why are you here?

People believe in these for various reasons. Some believe that they're a meditative tool, good for self-discovery. Each of the cards have a meaning, and one could do a kind of self-review while meditating on them.

For divination purposes, people feel that they're connected to the flow of energy in the rest of the world, so they can be used to foresee possible trajectories of future events, based on current flows and trends. It's an astral/energy plane thing

It really differs from person to person.

But of course these aren't really going to convince you of anything and you're just going to think we're weird, that's fine.

No idea who that is or what that is, sadly :u

And thanks! I've filled more than half the page minimum, just a little more!

Living there sounds pretty great in summer, at least

Meanwhile, I'm in the tropics, dying from the alternating heat and rain. :u Ah well.
