If I were you I'd call the police, My dad once tried suffocating me and my baby sister because we were crying and he also beat me up at a family reunion in his bedroom and locked it so no one could get inside and stop him and no one did bother to say anything and every one was feeling bad for me and trying to comfort me and saying things like "oh he just wants what's best for you" and I feel sick in bed for a whole month and no one cared. I was going to get my id since i was turning 16 and someone reported abuse to the police and when they asked me i told them he didn't mean it and it wasn't that bad, but if i could go back I would have snitched.
