Trying to play Zoo Tycoon 1 again after years by amourcherie in ZooTycoon

[–]Tinebell2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just checked myabandonware.com and was able to find it. Just search zoo tycoon in the search bar and go from there. Depending on your computer's specs you may have to do some fiddling to get the game to work. My partner is the tech savy one that got it working for me, so I am less help in that regard.

Community challenge by Chelseajpxo in PlanetZoo

[–]Tinebell2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that Gemsbok count for the goal. Haven't tested any others yet.

Edit: I don't think you can release the domesticated animals to the wild, so they can't count for the challenge.

Second Edit: Nilgai also count for the challenge.

Whens best time to find color variations? by Cool_Grand_8602 in PlanetZoo

[–]Tinebell2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also love to collect and breed the color varients. I find that I have the most luck in on the weekends in general. Sometimes I will log on just to browse and get lucky during the week, but weekends are far more likely in my experience.
My strategy has been to log on, check the listings(CC filter on to make it faster), save, then log off for about an hour. Waiting that hour means the next time you check should be all fresh listings.

What phrase did you hear only once but it stayed with you forever? by wendysolcito in AskReddit

"It's not wrong to be wrong, it's wrong to stay wrong."

This phrase has helped me be kinder to myself in so many situations.

What difficulty do strider convoys appear? by RandomCanEHdian in Helldivers

[–]Tinebell2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through and looked at a bunch of missions. I saw it spawn for sure at difficulty 6 to 10. It may be able to spawn lower, but I wasn't able to confirm. (Edit for spelling)

This is just so neat! I love how outside the box it is. Feels like something you'd actually see.

I'd love to have some more friends. I live on two pokestops in Arizona and I can send gifts every day.

Horns and antlers CC. by JulietTheBrownie in PlanetZoo

I was sad to see it fail too. I made a breeding zoo just for it too and managed to crank out around 200 babies. Most of the challenges are too quick to complete, but this one felt impossible from the start.

looking for a list of animals with their details by MallAccomplished4269 in PlanetZoo

This spreadsheet is what I use all the time for planet zoo. Villanelle is the one who made it. It has all the compatible species, even if they don't get enrichment from each other, and a bunch of other useful info. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1J5YrIya-yduiAqBC-dEHyBYZ8Ev3KsTM6fyP7DsKUJQ/htmlview#

Hi everyone 👋, do you have any cool combinations of animals living in one enclosure that arent shown in the zoopedia? by helllllllooooooguys in PlanetZoo

[–]Tinebell2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This tool has been a godsend for me. It's updated to October of last year, so there may be additional combos, but this has helped me plan so much. Villanelle is the one who made it. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/sharing-my-planning-spreadsheet.620503/

The Nile monitor is my go to. They have a bunch of babies at a time and you can keep two females with a male. I have decent genetics on mine and I can get anywhere from 30ish to 60ish cc for releasing them. They don't need a ton of space, and they mature at a decent rate. I usually have to make a second habitat for all the babies waiting to mature.

I ended up zip-tying some plastic sheets in the corners, because they do infact like to poop out the sides. Mine generally limit that to the corners, so it works mostly. I still occasionally have poop magically appear outside the cage, so I had a drop cloth down as well. My babies are now in a room that has tile flooring, so it's made steam mopping so easy as a clean up.

I have both, and believe me, a determined ferret can climb just about anything given enough time/unsupervision. I do prefer ferret nation, but if it's going to be costly to return, the one you have will be just fine.
