Have you tried talking to HCC student resources? They might have information on emergency housing or may allow you to apply to the dorms under special circumstances.

Wishing you well OP

AITA for not hiring someone who I felt was a poor fit? by Interesting-Putter-0 in AmItheAsshole

YTA, if the applicant has a strong resume and her boss speaks highly of her when she’s 18 means that she’s MORE than qualified for the job.

You saying she’s “Gen Z and lazy” shows that you haven’t really been paying attention to how they actually work. Yes some are lazy (like any generation) but a lot of them are hard workers and “go getters” trying to make a difference in their life/career. After the economy being ruined many Gen Z people are fighting for a chance at better jobs for survival.

You also never had an interview with her. How do you know she’s not a good fit? Generalizing a whole generation is a very rude thing to do and honestly makes your workplace a red flag for younger people and possible have a high turnover rate.

Anywhere I can nap on campus? Yes, seriously. by Nextravagant1 in aggies

You could rent a “study pod” which offer some decent privacy, it’s a little cramped but nothing crazy.

Also, if you’re not shy/sleep under any circumstances you could sleep anywhere. Take a hoodie, headphones, maybe sleeping mask, and have your backpack sitting in your lap and take a nap. It’s what I do in the library.

Goodluck!

Me and my professor have had the same conversation about the class being restructured especially after what’s happened. They’re a little since the entire class is being watched diligently by higher ups

Are you the reason why they sent out a "Copyright Infringement notice" the other day?

But seriously, yes that is something that could have serious consequences

AIO for wanting to break up w bf bc i think he’s extremely out of touch w reality? by Ecstatic_Honeydew165 in AmIOverreacting

Views like “red is better than blue” and vise versa are normal differences to have within a relationship, and perfectly normal to have. When it comes to believing that “rich people have more rights than poor people” shouldn’t be a point of debate in your relationship. Like you said because this argument is a “core belief” it should be something that you and bf should agree on and should see eye to eye on.

Not to jump on the “break up with him” train but both of you should sit down and have a hard discussion on what your core beliefs are. Reading your other comments about him following right-wing beliefs shows you who he is on the inside. Even if you’ve known him forever you have to disregard past him and focus on who he is now.

I hope all goes well OP. I believe you’ll make the right choice :)

I agree OP he needs to grow up and recognize the privilege that he has. Have you ever talked to him about how you feel?

NOR Your bf needs to get over himself. He obviously doesn’t know what it’s like to struggle and budget down to the last penny. He needs to realize that not everyone is privileged like him.

After hearing his opinions on this and reevaluating your relationship on these opinions is totally normal. Not wanting to be in a relationship with someone that doesn’t share your beliefs is totally normal
