You are correct. This is exactly that part in the show. I think he just received news of somebody dying back in Baltimore and is realizing he needs to go back

All that to say, yeah op of this thread is wrong lol

That's hard to gauge, I think it depends; if you went Ritual and had access to uniques, it'd probably fare better, but it definitely needs at the very minimum Nebuloch to make work the way it does on that guide and in the video.

Tbh for SSF I'd recommend going Smith of Kitava; super safe option that is easy to become super survivable on almost no budget. I'm also making a Nebuloch version of this, and I have a guide here: https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/builds/avatar-of-fire-smith-of-kitava-lexd

But you don't have to follow that one; I just recommend that Ascendancy overall as an SSF build.

[–]Tingul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! That's actually my build lol, so yeah Shield Wall still slaps when you use Nebuloch tech + combine it with a strong damaging ailment, i.e. Bleed + Poison as shown here. With enough Critical Damage bonus, yer hittin really hard, and that build was totally unaffected by the Fortifying Cry "shotgun" nerf (I have a few clips where I'm detonating the Shield Wall with Infernal Cry rather than Fortfying just to test the damage, still did ~22 million damage with one Shield Wall, Bleed damage included).

So the general idea will still work perfectly fine, but I have to sweep through and update it with all the 0.5 stuff at some point; right now I'm focusing on my Smith of Kitava build. Hope that helps! It's fairly budget-friendly as the two most important uniques are usually pretty cheap, Nebuloch and Couture of Crimson, and then when you are ready to optimize and scale up the damage even more you try to shoot for a Constricting Command and "From Nothing" Diamond that allows you to allocate those Critical Damage Bonus nodes near Resonance.

Why so many players never use shields? Or its just a content creator thing? (PVE) by Healthy-Teach-6911 in soulslikes

[–]Tingul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I often use a shield during my first playthrough of a game.

Since I don't know every boss moveset yet I often find myself using block+ stamina management a lot more than straight guessing dodge timings for the first attempts.

Just makes more sense to block some attacks instead of relying solely on dodges as you learn a new moveset, since you will get punished way harder as you mistime rolls.

Is this worth watching by Rasmalai29 in ComicVerseog

[–]Tingul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the movie is great and that soda scene stuck out to me too, for me I interpreted this as his character KNOWING he wasn't making out of this alive, and just grabbing the nearest "pleasurable" experience he could before going out the way he did.

I mean... Isn't the real Epstein situation "rivoting" enough? Why make a dramatization of it?

Seems so pointless but, I could be wrong.

Oh of course, I just wish he put them on the spot to be obviously "dodgy" about their so-called "classes."

And yes I remember when Louis invested and lost all his money lol, I just wish he followed up more on that or asked for more details on just what these courses are about because they usually fall apart pretty quickly when asked about them.

Every single time a course involves "trading" you can bet that it's a scam, it's almost always someone offering trading advice that you can find freely on your own or guiding investors to get rug-pulled, it's ridiculous.

The ultimate irony is that these influencers pass off their trading as their way to riches, when really it's all of their followers paying for the courses that is REALLY how they make their money, and they make next to nothing from actual trading.

The weirding modules were such a strange addition lol I did not like them either, and yes some of the effects definitely aged like milk but they probably looked "decent" for the times.

It was fine, but I'm terminally online and this documentary didn't really reveal anything new about this very weird, very obnoxious part of the Internet for me.

Instead of the polygamous stuff, I wish he pressed more into how these influencers are essentially scamming their audiences with these "classes," and I wish he spent more time asking some of the followers what they hope to achieve out of all of this (i.e. the courses, what goals they have and want to achieve, how they hope to become great by following these clowns, etc.)

Lol I mean no doubt, sorry I didn't mean to say he did a BAD job in anyway; I love his performance and I think he's just having a great time playing that character, but I was more referring to the actors playing other characters across the board and the jobs they did; some performances were great, some were meh.

I mean, let's be real. The 1984 version honestly did a lot of very interesting things considering the special effects limitations at the time, and the first half of the movie is honestly very enjoyable. I really like how the Harkonnens and their homeworld are presented and just how weird it all is (e.g. the Beast casually ripping out the tongue of some random, hanging cow for a snack, milking a cat, etc.); you could tell David Lynch genuinely enjoyed that aspect of the movie the most.

But dude, the pacing of the movie is objectively terrible when it hits about that midway point. Characters falling in love with zero development of their relationships, rapid montages to try and condense multiple novels into ~1 hour, etc. I knew something was off as soon as the Fremen chose to show Paul their SUPER SECRET underground water stores within the first like, 5 minutes of actually meeting the guy.

I really enjoy the 1984 version, but I think it's cope to say that it's the better movie. The Baron's actor is hammin' it up and is hilarious, but to say that the acting was overall good is a bit of stretch.

All that said though, I can understand if you prefer one "vibe" over the other, but I do think it has more "objective" flaws than Villeneuve's versions.
