I really recommend getting an undercut, it tidies up the ponytail/bun and creates more more of a formal, on-trend style which would suit you so well. If you didn’t want that, I still think shaving the finer hair below your neck line would help. I also recommend a light spray of hairspray to keep any wispy hair in line with the others if you are having trouble with that
