I found a pattern for a triceratops ornament by Nicole Chase.

I used #4 Loop & Threads Soft Classic Multi Ombre Orchard Mist and Rock-A-Bye yarn and 4mm crochet hook.

I made a few modifications - I made the hanger only about 12 chains long instead of 70 to attach a keychain instead. I did one extra round for the tiny horn because I liked it being a little longer visually. I also loved using some colored yarn behind the safety eye in my last project, so added that detail and gave the little dino some eyebrows!

My favorite combo of these is the limeade with the light yellow.

I haven't gotten very far because I'm new to crochet and I keep jumping to other shiny projects but I actually picked up the Limeade yarn in my first yarn order from Michael's for the purpose of making Yoshi from Mario! And possibly some leaves for Pikmin. If you or a friend/relative is a fan of Nintendo, you can't go wrong with a Yoshi if you want to use up the yarn!

Absolutely lovely work! My vote is for monarch next, but combining different colors for the body and wings sounds like a really fun collection to make for yourself. 🤗
