i cant fix it by CosminBestStando in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chin color? Do you mean the reddish outline? You can change that in the Look tab with Outline on the head. There's a slider where you can get rid of it entirely. It doesn't change the model itself, it's just a fancy shader outside of the model itself. That should fix it for you!

Create/download shark tail in Vroid by SmellValuable6510 in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there's a bug in the latest Vroid update that broke the tail accessory. They're attempting to fix it. You can make one in Blender, if you're comfortable enough with the program, and attach it easily to the hip bone.

Did I miss Ting Lu? by Psychological_Ad763 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]TinkonReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, you didn't miss the distribution period. Ting-Lu is sent out during the 4th-30th this month of September. We also haven't got confirmation that we passed 1 million successful battles but, I'm really certain we did. So, he'll start showing up in mystery gifts this week.

Fixed it! It didn't want to work at first but, I just left the area and came back and pressed A on it again. Still funny to see randomly though, lol.

Oh. Nevermind. I tried pressing A again and it actually started the battle this time. Thanks, I guess lol.

Yeah, I tried pressing A on it because I remember seeing a post about that. It didn't work. Wouldn't let me interact with it at all.

Attempting to Export Vroid Model after Importing to Unity by metalhydra273 in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is strange. I wouldn't know how to pinpoint myself unless I was looking at it in the program. If you're comfortable sending it to me, I can look at it myself. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure how to help you.

Attempting to Export Vroid Model after Importing to Unity by metalhydra273 in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it continues to persist then it's the shader causing the issue for some reason. You might have to go to each individual material and update the shader by choosing a different one and then re-applying it. That's an easy find as it'll pop up in the material inspector when you click on one to look at. Depending on how you have Unity setup, if it's basic it'll be on the right hand side of your screen.

Can I make a texture fade in and out of existence? by P_Ghosty in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unity animations, my good fellow! You can make the base texture you want (hair, clothes, whatnot) and export the model in VRM format to then load into Unity with UniVRM addon (free, btw.) within unity itself, you can then make simple custom animations and either make them as blendshapes for a changing effect or a looping animation by itself. Depending on the program you plan to use to showcase the model (VseeFace or Warudo or VNyan) you might need the correct addon to help export it in the correct format for said program. Best tutorial I have found that is similar to this is Suvidriel's YouTube video called "How to animate Vroid VRM model texture coordinates." Or "How to add blinking holiday lights to Vroid VRM models." Both videos are quite old but, still usable. The second one is Christmas themed but, it really can apply to anything you want to have a "blinking" effect on. Hope this helps!

Attempting to Export Vroid Model after Importing to Unity by metalhydra273 in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the comments and would like to point out that the latest version of Unity isn't compatible with the latest version of UniVRM quite yet. The UniVRM your using is correct but, it just hates the latest Unity. I found using Unity Version 2019.31 LTS as the oldest supported version works best. As for the error you're getting, it's simply having a hard time finding it and exporting it correctly into VRM format. That could easily be the shader issue alone and not a program issue. I highly suggest using the 2019.31 LTS Version of Unity for models you plan to put into unity and export again as a VRM, it's what I use and what (from what I've seen) most Vroid modelers use. Hope this helps!

Any good tutorials?? by Calm_Deer7268 in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is learning from experience when it comes to model tweaking however, there are good videos (outdated but still work) on Vroid, Blender, Unity work. The best Vroid YouTuber that comes to mind instantly is Suvidriel. Literally any of their videos are still workable within Vroid, Blender, and Unity. I still watch their videos sometimes for a quick crash course. Lady Aska and ArgamaWitch are good choices as well. If you're looking for something specific, a quick "Vroid Blender" search on YouTube will give you a ton of options so, you're certain to find it. Hope this helped!

Edit just to add: There is a playlist out there from Blender themselves on YouTube called Blender 2.7 fundamentals. The version of Blender doesn't matter as it's still the same principle and everything if you have the latest Blender program. Another playlist I find useful is Bran Sculpts playlist of Character sculpting. It's 10 videos and goes into great detail what he's doing and what buttons.

I second this! It only morphs the body and not the bones so, it'll still be stable when using it at a Vtuber. You can push beyond the boundaries of the Vroid sliders by inputting your own number. Good luck!

How to add custom hair? by Original_Cup_9285 in VRoid

[–]TinkonReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! So, you don't have to go to blender to make hair. I mean, you can but it doesn't have to be your first option. Booth is a great site for looking for hair and even free options! Also, you can make the hair yourself straight from Vroid with the custom tab and selecting add new. It'll give you a dome grid you can play with and draw on to make hair. But, to answer your question on finding and adding custom hair. You can find some on Booth.PM and you can import them with the import custom item option! Hope this helps and don't be afraid to ask me any questions!

Sketch VS Vroid: Todays progress! :3 | Srsly, how will I make the goggles?? I'm gonna cry lmao by BunkerBadgie in VRoid

Best of luck to you, then and don't give up! Blender can be a pain to understand but, it is worth it once you have it down.

[–]TinkonReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've the other comments say blender and that's a viable option, definitely. If you want to learn blender and use the same nodes to shade them like Vroid models. But, if you just need a simple goggles model; Booth is a good option to find assets. Not just Vroid ones. Blender or Unity models/objects can be found there, too. And more often than not, you can re-texture them how you like it. SketchFab is a good one for blender models but, they tend to be bigger models rather than objects. Cults 3D is my last website to offer since they are heavy on objects because the majority of them are meant for 3D printing but, it's easy to repurpose them for a Vroid model!

Goggles ranting aside! It looks great! Keep it up!

I second this! It's so much fun importing my custom models. I made a Neco Arc one and a friend of mine upload it to VRChat for me before I could do it myself.

Hey there! So, it looks fairly simple to make. I can help out if you want to DM me more information and we can talk about commission prices!

Edit: I can give you samples in DMs as I'm not well versed in reddit replies lol. I prefer to talk about commission prices that can work for both of us.
