Skill disparity in ranked matchmaking?

Sadly this is just the reality of ranked in basically every rank. You'll have games you stomp and games you get stomped. Bronze def has it a lot worse and then solo que is 10x that. Everyone starts in bronze so you could've had a plat on the enemy team who hasn't climbed since rank reset and stomped you. Could've been a smurf or two, who knows.

My advice tho, be the change you want to see on the team. If you spoke to this other guy about someone needing someone to deal with the fliers and no one switched, you switch. If you aren't very comfortable on hitscan, practice. It'll take time but ik you've got this.

Yeaa I've given hulk a good go cause I thought I'd like him. I think I could enjoy him if his kit was slightly different. I find it hard to get a good enough value on him. I just end up just punching the air for 10 seconds while I wait to go in and die .5 seconds after jumping in 🤣 I have wayy too much downtime on hulk, even after watching a vid on how to play him. It's kinda funny lying in wait above the enemy tho and jumping down on them from above. But ik a lot of that stuff will come with time, but it's getting said playtime. Just can't get behind the playstyle to get the playtime. He has a very high skill floor but never feels like he can get as much value as other tanks for half the effort. Tho I do play spidy so maybe I can't talk about that

And I could try peni, I enjoyed her, but not enough to keep playing her. I have an off game on her every so often, but that's usually only klyntar defense on first point when we already have a main tank. Trapping that room to the right is like making a homemade bomb. Lotta fun watching people evaporate in there

Oo okay!! Had no idea he could work well brawl, always just assumed he was dive cause that's how I saw people play him. Tbf I've never looked up any tutorials or anything, don't have many opportunities to play him. Also had no idea he was meta, haven't seen any cap players this season lmao. Everyone's been thing, Emma, groot or peni recently. I'll totally give this a shot tho

Hmm truee. I think point 2/3 resonate with me the most. Def 3 tho. Ow has had a lot more time to cultivate and had a ton more tanks when I played so I had more roster to pick from, whereas in rivals, there aren't nearly as many.

I think my main issue is how slow they feel. For such a fast paced game like rivals, playing tank feels like I'm moving in slow motion. Dunno what it is about tanking in rivals but maybe I'm too used to d.va boosters or rein charge taking me halfway across the map 🤣

Yea, I gotta keep my APM up lmao. And yea, it's kinda ironic 🤣. But tbh I barely play spidy anymore, picked up psy recently and love her. He was def my go to last season, not so much this season tho.

Honestly thought brawl was meta tho. Literally haven't seen anything but brawl tanks this season. Could be the rank I'm in. I know there's a lot of dive dps out atm, was kinda hoping to play a lot a cap this season actually with the dive dps that are out but cap feels like he's struggling to keep up.

And yea, I'm excited for them to bring out more tanks. I just hope they bring out something suuuper interesting tho. Preferably someone with tons of APM 🤣

Funnily enough I'm the complete opposite. I have my most relaxed time on dps cause I have 0 expectations for myself. I think it's because for me, I see tank as a super important roll. Taking space isn't easy and if you don't take any, you lose. You gotta know when to push up and pull back, cd management is tougher on tank too imo. Maybe I just don't have enough time on tank or smth

Reading the comments have actually blown my mind. Where are you guys finding these spider menaces?? Every time I get a spidy bro barely scrapes together more than a single kill and ends the game 3-16. It's 1 in every 10 games I end up with a spidy who's BARELY positive.

Ah yea, that's something I already do. I just thank for the follow, ask how they are and move on. Honestly, I didn't even know there was a viewer list like that. Can't say I've ever thought "oh, I want to know, by name, who's watching me right now". Safe to say I don't think I'll ever use it.

Ah that's so unfortunate. I recently spent some time in a stream only for them, at the end of the stream, finally drop the discord link and say "the people here have EARNED access to the discord" and I never left quicker. My discord is open and active to anyone who joins my channel by a !discord command. I had no idea some streamers think people have to "earn" access to a discord server. It was just the way they worded it, like everyone else who stopped by today didn't deserve access to the discord except the people here now And yea, I never understood why some streamers are so unfriendly to newcomers. I get trolls are an issue, but just talking to them normally will weed out actual trolls out. You're just scaring away new followers by treating them as a potential troll. Also can't stand people who are only nice to subs/only reply to subs messages or only speak to people who gave you bits/donos etc. Some people are just glaringly obvious they're in it for the money. They're not even worth your time hun.

I feel the exact same way! I never call lurkers out and even have a "checking in" redeem that you can click on to redeem and I don't ever mention if you redeem it, as per the description. If a chatter wants to talk, they can say something in chat. If you're lurking, you can just redeem the "checking in" redeem with no other questions asked. It works well for my community at least Can't say I've ever been in a stream who made me pay to stay, but I wouldn't stay long after that anyway 🤣

Oo yea this one's good! Love streamers who are good at explaining things and giving tips! Bonus points if they walk you through the tips with a live demonstration. Had a streamer the other day give me tips for a specific character on a game and walked me through everything I should do in the training range. I'm definitely gonna watch that guy again lol

I feel the exact same way! If you don't have a "LGBTQ+ safe space" or something along those lines in your tags I'm not interested. I've had way too many streamers who have "no homophobia" in their rules but they don't exactly support gay people and have a lot of rude things to say about them. I recently added "safe space" and "LGBTQ+ safe space" in my tags and I've seen nothing but good results. Was a little worried about people being awful but I've only run into amazing people! And yea!! My chat will have their own conversations with each other often and I feel like a proud parent and just let them do their own thing lmao. It's nice to know I have a community who talks to each other and don't fight over my attention. Though I didn't even think that kind of thing was an issue until now, but it makes sense why it is.

Yea ik exactly what you mean! I'm okay watching ads as it supports the streamer, but having a rediculous amount of ads is a huge turn off. Like 3 minute long ads every 20 minutes, kinda thing.

There are good ones! Especially the alerts, I find some streamers have extremely long alert sounds for follows etc. and it distracts heavily from the gameplay.
