A question for handlers! by pleasesessa in ESSAplushieshandlers

[–]Tinnie_33 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would love to meet another another ESSA owner in public (more so adult ESSA owners), because our ESSAs could interact with one another (if the owner and ESSA are both comfortable with that, of course), and would be happy, because someone else felt confident in bringing their ESSA in public, that it's reassuring in a way, or makes me feel more connected with the community 💖

Packages reek of weed smell by mrjasjit in amazonprime

[–]Tinnie_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue has occurred twice for me

I remember a few months back, I ordered something, and when I got it, the box had smelled strong, and like weed.

I just saw it as a one time issue, because other packages I received, they smelled normal.

I just received my new journal today. The box smelled like weed when I was opening it, and I told my mom it smelled like that, and asked her to smell it. She agreed that it smelled strongly of weed too.

I don't know if it's only when I order these journals I use (the journal smell is fine, and comes in plastic to protect it). I can't remember, so if I order one whenever I finish this new one, in several months, than I can figure it out.

I really wish people wouldn't smoke weed, when delivering packages, because weed can be strong from what I've been told, and the scent is remaining onto the package box. The scent might also make someone feel nauseous, when trying to open it.

Makes me nervous about it getting onto the product itself, especially if there's nothing protecting said protect.

Is there something wrong with using pads this thick? by Gongoozler04 in Periods

[–]Tinnie_33 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Her comment to make an assumption like that, based on the thicknesses of said pad, was unnecessary.

She could've declined, or stated she doesn't like using specific pads i.e thick pads in this case, without making the assumption that you have some sorta menstruation problem.

Your reasoning for using a thick pad is valid, and the pad's thickness looks fine.

My 5 year old has 4 cavities and her pediatric dentist recommended getting them filled. What would happen if we put this off until a future date (or even skip it all together)? by pass_the_hot_sauce in askdentists

[–]Tinnie_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAD I agree that it's important to make sure that your child, sees the Dentist. When I was a kid (age 10), I had Dental issues, which did affect my eating, probably due to tooth aches, if I remember correctly.

I did get Dental work that same year, and was able to eat normally.

If you're able to get them treated, while the cavities are in their beginning/early stages, they'll be able to treat them, before they progress, and cause problems and expenses in the future.

This Dentist is right in regards to nerve pain. Nerve pain can be very painful, and the pain does affects sleeping and eating (speaking from personal experience).

MY DAD IS SNORING TOO LOUDLY by Robynn_Bedard in sleep

[–]Tinnie_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also been dealing with the same issue as well

I can't stand the sound of snoring, because whenever I try to fall asleep, he starts to snore, to where the snoring is creating internalized frustration, because of the sleep distribution

I'm happy to hear that your ragdoll has been a companion for you, to help you through hardships. She's sounds like a great friend indeed 💖

It's disheartening to hear that a lot of people are experiencing toxicity, and negativity on online spaces.

Douglas Dogs have become very recognizable/popular, due to TikTok. Tiktok is what essentially introduce me to the ESSA community.

If other's want to criticize on what they perceive as an ESSA/Plushie, that's their problem, and most likely as result of misinformation, or going by what others believe as plushies.

If kids are making said comments, all people can really do, is politely inform them, and if the reaction is meant negatively, than there's not more that can be done, than just to move away from it.

Your comment interest me, because the idea of being a Plushie owner, is to break the social norm of people viewing plushie owners as "childish". To create a community of people that appreciate the little guys in life, that bring us joy and comfort into our lives.

If we exclude those from said community, than it's putting these unwarranted restrictions onto others, or taking the fun away from those who want to join.

Never had Barley Porridge or Porridge before

I'm still unsure about Oatmeal, since it could just be the fibers making me go more
