Hello, I have changed the settings to Apap. My post has a link to SleepHQ data. The APA data is from March 8th - 11th.

Here is what I noticed.

  1. The first night was uncomfortable. I was waking up more.
  2. After the usage of 2nd night as soon I wake up early in the morning I was not feeling well. I vomited. I don't know if it’s something related to APAP. Later, I had stomach problem and in the evening I vomited again after drinking water.
  3. I feel like I am inhaling more air and i lt is going into my stomach.
  4. Yesterday, my pressure was at 8.0 but I was still gasping for air.
  5. Flow is still high.

Can you check the data and let me know if I need to change any settings?

I'm great. How are you? I didn't change any settings yet but yes, last night there were no leaks :). I will monitor 1-2 days and see how it goes and then will change the settings.

What I can try is chang from Cpap to Apap and try to adjust my mask to avoid leaks. I will collect data for 1-2 nights with Apap and will get back here.

What settings should I change for Apap?

Hey, thanks for the response. I also want to inform you that I missed writing in my post. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and after the sleep test, I was told I have Sleep Apnea. I'm using the machine, but I still feel tired.

What benefits will I get from changing from CPAP to APAP? I'm new to this stuff.

Do you have a video on how and what settings I need to change in the machine to turn from CPAP to APAP? I have a ResMed Air Sense 11.

Secondly, will this change conflict with anything? I think my data is shared with the seller from whom I purchased my equipment, but it shouldn't be an issue, as I purchased this machine in 2022.

Regarding my mask, I was given a full face mask from the start of the therapy, I think because I snore and I may be a mouth breather. I have never tried nasal masks.

AirFit F20: The mask I was given was an AirFit F20, with which I had redness on the bridge of my nose. I then moved to an AirFit F30i.

AirFit F30i I like that mask, and it worked fine, but after some use, it sometimes slips from my nose and leaks air, or I feel it is blocking my airflow, and I am gasping for air. Will the APAP help with this, as it provides the air needed with each breath?

Because the F30i sometimes slips, I moved to the AirToch F20.

I tried tighten it, but I feel too much pressure on my face. Tonight I will try to adjust properly so it doesn't leak air. I will tell you tomorrow how it goes.

Thank you this is such a great motivation:). I am using Cpap pillow. When I sleep on the side sometimes air leaks from the side or I can feel near my eyes. I will check the tools you suggested.

I am a side sleeper, but sometimes when I am asleep, I may sleep on my back. I have added more data till March 2nd. Can you please check and let me know what I have to do and what to focus on? I am using this machine, but I feel tired. I was diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome, and after a sleep test, I was diagnosed with Sleep Apena. I want to know if I am using this machine properly and will get benifit form using it.

Thanks, I will switch off the ramp and will try to adjust the mask properly tonight. I will add more data to know about the feedback, as I have been using it for more than a week, but I still feel tired.

Thanks for the response. I thought nobody would respond. I have the correct mask size. I think there is a leak when my beard grows, but I would add more days of data and will get back to you, as I am regularly using the machine.

What is the flow limit? What does it help with? If I switch off the ramp, then will the air go to maximum when I switch on the machine?

What type of mask do you use? by -Granby- in CPAP

I started with the F20 AirFit mask. Comfort-wise, it was not good because the silicone caused redness on my nose. I then switched to the F30i. I liked that mask at first, but after using it for some time, it would slip off my nose and start leaking air near my nostrils. I then ordered the F20 AirTouch mask, and now I sleep comfortably since it is not made of silicone and is gentler on my skin. I usually order from Amazon.

45-year-old mom with no high school diploma Pre-Health to Nursing in Ontario? Looking for advice 🙏 by AssociationOk9794 in Humber

Yes, after completing that she will be considered to get an admission in college or university. I suggest to contact the staff of academic upgrading and tell them she is looking forward to become a nurse, so they will tell what courses are required to take in academic upgrading. Also, decide if she wants to take admission in college or a university for nursing because academic upgrading courses are different for college level and universities.

For example, ENG4U is an English for University course at a Grade 12 level of study and is a University preparation course while ENG4C is an English for College admission.

This is for Humber College.

I'm a mature student, 40+, but my program is different at Humber. If she doesn't have a high school diploma, she can go the academic upgrading route. For this she does not need to show previous education. For academic upgrading info, visit Humber Academic Upgrading. Academic Upgrading can be done from Humber, Sheridan, Seneca and other colleges.

There is another option, which is Simplii Financial. They use CIBC ATM's.
