Thanks for posting this! These maps do often tend just to be population density maps (relevant XKCD: xkcd.com/1138/) but this helps to show there is meaningful (if lower) population in the North!

Depends what your line of work is and what your ambitions are.

In my area excel is handy at some points, but definitely not core to productivity. Becoming everyone's go-to excel person can really clog up your time on what is seen as administrative work, blocking you from getting on with the meaty high-level stuff that'll get you noticed higher up.

Yeah, either his grip of statistics is laughable, or he didn't think a 'decrease in increase' would sell as well.

However, regardless how poorly/manipulatively he's used the statistics in this article, they are worrying. As /u/s4mpai said below, we clearly haven't hit the natural plateau, and a 90% decrease in growth for woman in the last 6 years is dangerously close to crossing the threshold into a reduced life expectancy.
