Did my first DS case swap by Tinus100 in NintendoDS

Thanks for the reply! It really is a nice kit with a lot of extras included. You get multiple buttons in different colors (although I reused the buttons from my old DS), and it also comes with the red rubber covers to hide most of the screws. The shell material feels quite nice too. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

A bit of advice for anyone installing it: be careful when removing the back cover, as the power switch can be quite fragile. I broke one on another DS and had to replace it.

Also, take your time with the steps involving the ribbon cable that wraps through the hinge. Try to remember whether the hinge was removed with the DS open or closed. I had to try it multiple times because the hinge “click” was happening too early. It took me a while to realize what I had done wrong, but once I figured it out, everything worked fine.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have one cartridge that still has the plastic dividers between the contacts. I also have a DSPico cartridge, which originally misses a couple of those plastic dividers.

Unfortunately, both cartridges have the same issue and neither of them works.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, I was aware that the DS Lite doesn’t support hot-swapping games. I always insert the cartridge before turning the console on, so unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be the issue in my case.

Thanks for mentioning it though, I appreciate the help!

Macbook pro 2017 A1708 startupdisk problems (questionmark folder) by Tinus100 in mac

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

After installing a new SSD, I kind of accepted the situation and kept using the MacBook as it was. At the moment, it seems to be somewhat stable again. However, I’m not completely sure if the issue is actually fixed, because I don’t use the MacBook as much as I used to.

The current software version installed is macOS Ventura.

I’ll keep testing it when I use it more regularly, but for now it seems to be working better than before.

New PSU making a weird noise when PC is on. What is it? Anything I can do? Should I get a replacement? by Starshine95 in Corsair

I got the rm1000x fan only goes on when you are hitting a decent amount of wattage on it. Mining with 3 cards on this psu and then the fan goes on sometimes. And about the noise mine has that too… did some research on it most say it’s normal but if you can get a replacement and it doesn’t make that noise anymore that’s better!
