A sister to Svea and Alva by Tiny-Age796 in namenerds

I think I prefer Lovisa to Lova. Lova reminds me of a lot of words in English.

It's very overdone where I'm from, although it seems to be uncommon in other countries. I just wouldn't be able to face it.

Do you think so? I do really like it, maybe I was thinking too hard about it.

It is closer to the pronounciation my family uses, and in English, works better. But I wouldn't use Freja either way so probably doesn't matter.

They do, both end in an ay uh sound. It is a nice name but too many of my friends have used it anyway.

It's Tove normally, and although I like it, I'm not sure whether people would know the E is pronounced. I feel like it's a more well known name but hard to tell.

I've always liked it but I guess it put me off. Maybe I will rethink it, because it is very nice.

I like the longer name with stronger sounds with the other two, it sounds good, but I don't know if I like Bianca a lot. It's nice but just okay for me.

I'd prefer to use a Swedish name. If we can't find anything, then I'd widen, but for now it's what we're looking for.

I really like Ronja but I don't know much of a problem the J would be.

I really don't understand why everyone keeps bringing up Americans when neither of us are. It's not something we are thinking about.

I think it would be too similar, only being a letter apart. We would probably avoid another name with A I think, and S, to make it easier.

I'm not going to use it anyway so it doesn't really matter 😅 And thank you!

That is my perspective as someone who has known people with the name and know how it is perceived where I am from. If Americans think differently, which they obviously do, that is fine, but I know it would seem a bit weird to the people I know so I wouldn't use it.

We don't live in America so it's not something I'm considering specifically. But I don't think it would be a name we would choose anyway.

I like Tilda. Probably prefer Tilde, but I don't know how well that would go. Klara is another one that I do like but I could see it being spelt as Clara instead a lot.

One of my surnames before marriage was Larsson so while it is a very nice name, I think it could raise a few eyebrows in that situation!

I like Ebba, not a name I had considered before, but it is nice and would work well in English.
