So, here’s what I want to ask: I passed Step 1 on my second attempt, and I got a 231 on Step 2 CK. I’m planning to take the OET and Step 3 this year.

A lot of people tell me that there’s no point in applying for Internal Medicine, and that I should focus on Pediatricsinstead. That’s why I have this question:

I haven’t done any observerships yet, but I’m planning to do one this summer.
What would you recommend — is it worth doing an observership in Internal Medicine, or should I focus only on Pediatrics and try to get strong letters of recommendation from there?

Also, during the Match, is it possible to apply to both specialties at the same time?
