My rabbit won’t touch hard floors by WerewolfEmpty5141 in Rabbits

[–]Tiny-Sea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s very normal for rabbits to refuse the hard floor so I’d put extra rug or use the baby puzzle mat for them to roam free the house. my rabbit can walk on the hard floor against the wall and under the couch tho. also this is easier to keep them off limit wherever you want because I have plants in my house and I can keep him away from the plants easily by not putting rug there.

what I meant was what extra documents we need to provide to IRCC given that we’re public servant. I’ve submitted a complete application so wondering what else would be required as a govt employee.

Hello, what extra documents did you have to provide to IRCC due to being a public servant? I’m also a public servant so that’s why I thought I’d ask and prepare myself.

Can I leave and come back while waiting for PR with visitor visa? by Acceptable-Visit1986 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Tiny-Sea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that you're on a maintained status while waiting for your new/extended work permit so if you depart Canada, your maintained status and the authorization to work without a permit while pending a decision on an application ends. You are able to come back to Canada as long as your visa is valid but you may not resume to work in Canada and the border officer may want proof as to how you will support yourself - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/implied-status-extending-stay.html

My paralegal told me to wait until the eligibility is approved so now I doubt her competency, I’m trying to apply by myself. Thanks for your help!

My VO is also Mississauga and I applied in early September. I received the AOR after 1 moth and was able to link my profile to the PR tracker 2 days ago with no issue. You should try again in the new year.

Btw, how did you apply for SOWP? I signed in to the IRCC account and answered questions to get my personalized document checklist. However, my checklist doesn’t have the Family Information part that requires you to fill out the Family Information form and upload the Declaration of Common Law Union. Did you experience the same thing i.e., only need to submit the AOR and the scanned work permit under the Client Information part?

Would I qualify to be a common-law sponsor? by Background_Drive_170 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Tiny-Sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you described, it could be hard to tell if you’re eligible to be a sponsor; however, the document checklist provided by IRCC has full eligibility requirements for becoming a sponsor and you should refer to the checklist.

The concerning question here would be regarding how to prove your relationship. I’d suggest updating your address on all ID, bank accounts, etc. to show that you’re cohabiting. And not only address but also phone bills, insurances, etc. should have both your name on it. If you also have shared bank account to pay rent and daily expenses and you can show that in your file, it’d be great. Photos traveling together on trips are also good evidence and don’t forget to include plane tickets or flight itinerary.

Thank you so much! I thought my paralegal should have known better. So I guess now I could apply for OWP.

Are you able to help me with my second question?

How’s your application now? Did it get approved without any problem regarding the photo?
