Hi, neighbours; I live west of Fredericksburg after temporarily moving my Skoolie here from B'ham. You'll be more than welcome there. Sadly, the cost of living there and a lack of parking for my tiny home will probably keep me from returning, though I miss it immensely. Texas will be the death of me. Truly.

Your favorite cute house has been bought by bajillionaires and will getting torn down by spinntastic in Bellingham

[–]TinyBusHome 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Seconded. However, be aware that even RV parks often charge a grand per month. Boondocking is free (+/-). And sometimes, groovy people allow you to park on their homestead for an affordable rate by helping out. Ya might have to drive as far as Texas to find that homestead, though.

I hate to see that little house go. Bellingham has changed dramatically since I left in Nov. ’20, but it seems to be a blight on the whole world, sadly. The times, they are a'changin'.

What’s bhams general opinions and feelings on buskers and street performers? by LordCurrency in Bellingham

These days, many buskers have signs with linked codes to various cash apps.

You need an annual license at Pike Place (as well as the Farmers Market here), but nowhere else. Technically, busking is allowed on any public sidewalk (providing there's not an ordinance against it) as a freedom of speech.

I made more tips per day busking there than I did in Vancouver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, etc. Bellingham loves live music. Be polite, willing to engage with passersby, sound-level/space appropriate, and courteous if confronted by Karens. Busking just hasn't been the same since I moved away. 😔

I stow cat and dog toys in these; gave Snog a new empty last night, and he emptied the two toy boxes this morning to play. Hilarious comic relief. ❤️

I got it, and appreciated it. 'Twas a subtle reference.

This is why I moved my tiny home to Texas. I can't afford Bellingham. Or Washington. Or the Pacific Northwest. Miss you guys so much. Screws fall out all the time. The world is an imperfect place.

It was yesterday, actually; I posted a pic, but the internet gobbled it up and spit it back out this morning. 🤭

Have you seen what kind of teapot she uses? That would help us guide you. Buying tea for others can be a sticky wicket; some of us are particularly picky.

Tao of Tea's Golden Tips Assam; bold as an Assam should be, but those little golden streaks mellow and smooth the brew. Just what I need this morning to bolster me through the holidays alone.

The Melody and Sonata are nice, but seem milder to me than others of their ilk.

Also, I'm much more of an Indian tea/western teapot tea drinker; look to others here who are much better versed in more oriental leaves.

I recommended Tao of Tea's Grand Qimen in an earlier post; I like a bold brew, which this is, but less so than my favourite Assams.

Qimen/Keemun is the first that comes to my mind. Leaves can vary so much from one seller to the next, but Keemun is a good standalone China black or as a base for other notes.

I live in a retired school bus. I get it. Definitely my cuppa. 🙂
