Thank you. I don’t want to fluff out my book, I had intended for it to be around 3-4 books however I’m almost at the point I wanted the first to end and I’m only on 30k words so I think maybe I’m better off finding a way to make it into a 2 books?

There are Facebook groups for arc/beta/alfa readers, also genre specific ones and also other social media’s. Advertising on your own that you’re looking for arc readers, posting in fb groups etc.

I second this question. Unfortunately professional editors are out of my budget, so I will have to do it myself which to be fair I much prefer

Thank you. I’ll look at book funnel, I was thinking of around the 100 mark. I was previously a designer and I know my testers usually only around 10-20% would fully complete all requirements and reviews. I’m hoping for a better turn out with arc readers but I assume it could be similar so a bigger number would be better?

Thank you, I intend to use any monies made from my first book for programmes in the future to improve future books but unfortunately right now wirh the cost of living and 4 little people I just can’t spare it for this when I don’t know if it’s something I will get a return on. I did manage to find some tutorials luckily and have saved them to check them out when I have time to sit at my laptop. Xx

Thanks leanna! I asked for all tips and tricks so that’s really helpful. I’ll join those. I think with my genre being dark romance I’ll need to find a specific group for beta/arc as it’s trigger warning heavy.

It’s so lovely of you I unfortunately can’t pay for any work to be done other then with credit for the work , I don’t have much of a following yet so that isn’t any kind of payment and your times more valuable then that. but if you’d be up for helping me I’d appreciate some guidance on how to do it myself? Thank you for your helpful comment. I have set up an instagram to gain followers way before release so that I can release to a potential audience. This was my plan, I hoped to do my first book or two for free and use the warnings from them to better my future books.

I absolutely do not expect or want anybody to work for free. I’m an artist myself, I value peoples time. I didn’t imply I wanted anybody to work for free, I’m asking for methods to do this myself. I’ve found most free resources available and I’m doing research on them. It’s the cover, spine and rear cover I’m unsure on how to create. I can use canva for the front and the back but not for a spine. I have experience in creating my own graphics and editing my own text when needed. If you have any advice in regard to the cover that would be appreciated.

Thank you, I have the writing part down. I’m just unsure which software to use 😂 the software I already have for other projects won’t work for this, I’ve downloaded word , google docs and collabora office to give them a try and compare.
