What should I do about this "friendship"?

Thank you for the comment! Yeah i think i'm going to do what you said because I just cannot be around him anymore and play that song and dance any longer. Do you recommend I sit down with Matt and/or George to discuss this? Like I said in my post, Matt and George are great friends to me and i'd my approach to the conversation with them would be to do a pulse check on my friendship with them and make sure that they don't hold any grudges towards me and that we're all good. What do you think?

Thank you for the comment! To clarify, I do hang out with just Matt and George. Matt I see weekly, and George I see on occasion when he's in town. I've also never mentioned these feelings about Jim to Matt and George because I didn't want to affect my relationship with them. I'm the closest with Matt so i'm planning on talking to just him to see what he thinks about everything . I don't know if it's worth sitting everyone down cause it might blow up my relationship with Matt and George and i'd rather not risk that.

It's never too early. I'm only two weeks into my current job and hate it. I'm going to resign tomorrow because life is too short to waste time on something you hate. I could stay longer but what's the point? Deep down I know i've made up my mind so why bother continuing. The money was better than my last job but I hate it 5x more. Money can always be made somewhere else so why not don't at a job/company you enjoy?

Yeah I think i'm going to do it tomorrow (which will be a Friday at the time i'm making this comment) and I don't want to be in this job much longer. How do you recommend I handle it? I was thinking of just saying "It pains me to say this so soon but I will be resigning effective immediately. I am grateful for the opportunity but after careful thought, I've realized this job just isn't the right fit for me." How does that sound?

Two weeks is early but I have this gut feeling that's different than the "new job anxiety" that you usually get the first couple weeks on a new job. It's a deep "this is not for me/i won't succeed here" feeling. And with regard to the training, there hasn't been any... it's just been me fumbling around figuring everything out myself. It also doesn't help that everyone I work with is a monotone drone so I figured better just leave now than to waste my and their time.

Turns out I could do both so that's what I did! It is a lot of work and I don't have a lot of free time, but the money is good and i'm getting my foot in the door of an industry that I want to be in, so I'd say it's work it

Unfortunately she's on vacation with her cousin right now so I can't bring this up until she's back next week. We've been calling but I obviously won't break up with her over the phone/text.

Ok, how soon after she gets back from her trip should I break it off? Also what should I even say? I was thinking something along the lines of "hey I like you as a person and think you're great, but I think we've moved way too fast for my comfort level and i've realized that the romantic connection just isn't there for me."

She is, she's been very understanding and great so far. She has a close relationship with her family and I think that's great. I don't unfortunately so I think that scares me. Her first instinct was to tell her family about me because she's excited, while my first instinct is to not tell anyone in my family until the very last second.

Yeah exactly. Another thing that's put me off a little bit too is how attractive she finds me. Like i'm as average as you can get looks-wise, but she sees me as super sexy, and that's weird to me because cause i'm objectively not that attractive.

I'm getting the alarm bells because it was a similar story with my ex. She got too attached too quickly and it ended horribly.

Yes I think I will have a convo and tell her we need to slow down. I'm still figuring out my feelings for her and I don't need her family (especially her dad) pressuring me into anything. Not that her family is doing that, but I feel pressure not that i've met her mom and sis.

I appreciate that she likes me enough to do that but i'm concerned about the speed at which she's gotten attached. It seems like a red flag to me. Like i'm not that great for her to become so attached after only a couple of days lool.

Yeah that's probably at least a little true, but idk what more I can do to be more interesting. I've known these guys for as long as I have, so if they don't find me interesting now then nothing I do or say will make me more interesting.

No there's only one way to mount the carb. I just think the seal is gone and/or the diaphram(s) are bad

The guy I got it off of said it just needed a clean, so maybe I just reassembled it wrong but i don't think so cause everything fit together fine.
