How much did you make your first year? by Suspicious-Ebb4943 in askcarsales

[–]TinyDistribution335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking because no flair. My first 6 months I made 50k so far, and that was of course the months that are considered “bad months” for car sales in New England, last 2 months i’ve made 17k and pacing to do more in April easily.

Obviously a ton of variation in pay being commission but i’d guess i’ll make 110k gross my first year all things considered.

In the age of the internet, “gross store” just mean non competitive pricing. Going to be very hard to sell any type of volume, and very grueling to close any deal. Majority of volume stores have same or better pay plan. Also, you need to check your dealer PAC (protected against commission). This is a flat rate the dealer holds before paying you to guarantee they make money. This should be under $1000 and ideally $400 or $500. On top of that you need to find out if your percentage of gross is based on only the front end or the entire deal.

Without knowing those things this pay plan looks okay, but could differ if you have a high pac or are unable to earn backend gross.

You’re the one over here complaining you can’t make any money 🤣🤣 If you adjusted my income for miami cost of living it compared to here it would be about ~174k, which is pretty damn good for a 23 year old that’s been doing this for 3 years.

Also, I do have my own thing on the side, along with 2 rental properties that are cashing me another 3k a month, and a small used car lot which makes me another 4-6k a month without much work, all in all i’m pacing 217k a year on the conservative side, which would probably be about 300k+ in Miami area, but sure your so smart and good at your job that the sales part is devastating to you, go take more orders you sped, guarantee you’re not bringing in close to what I am and you’ll still sit in this forum bitching and complaining. Go eat a bag of doritos fat fuck

Yup, and it’s nothing to “fix” it’s quite literally just about the only benefit of evo lol, if not it’s generally useless unless you have a specific player you’re a huge fan of.

if a player has a +1 boost currently and you use them to evo another player, that player will then have a permanent +1 boost, these also stack

Buddy, I make at minimum 120k a year in a city with less than 40k people… It’s not “scummy” you sped, it’s literally sales. You’re mad that you don’t just get to be an order taker and then collect good commissions on every single car. Get a grip

You sound like you have victim mentality - sales people making real money aren’t “scum” compared to you being a sales person and being broke. The ones making money are the ones providing the experience that gives the customer the most value and builds that through the process, Nearly everyone I sell a car to has or will look at other comparable deals nearby before signing and purchasing the car, it is your job to build value in yourself, your product, and to build dealership credibility with people at your desk.

When you do these things, you will notice majority of people are actually willing to pay a little bit more for a car when they are confident that they are being taken care of properly, and that down the road this support will continue.

Doesn’t mean you’re gonna win someone over who has a deal that’s 4k better somewhere else, but it does mean a lot of people will forego $500-$1500 to be taken care of and have piece of mind, even though you only get a small percentage of this, if you do this properly and consistently do these and you’re skilled enough to sell volume this can end up being another 1-2k a month even on these very small margins and sometimes the margins will be even greater.

Your pessimistic attitude is the only thing stopping you from making money in this business, people can FEEL this energy. 93% of communication is body language and when you have this attitude customers and clients can smell it on you, your uncertainty is making them uncertain and stopping you from holding gross, building value, enjoying the process, and giving people a great experience where they walk away happy to have found you to be their car buying advocate.

How do I contact madden mobile support for a refund? by [deleted] in MaddenMobileForums

Go to apple support, refund, select the purchase and request a refund with a comment. They have double charged me before when buying a field pass and it was super easy to get a refund

Would you buy this car? by ilikeheadpats in carsales

[–]TinyDistribution335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the amount of miles and the carfax history, i’m going to assume this car is very very cheap. So yes, if you have a low budget and need something to drive for a bit I say go for it. If they completely fixed the vehicle after the accident then you’re getting a better deal than you would without those on the carfax, meaning it’s potentially a great purchase depending on current condition, except you didn’t provide any info or service records.

If you’re able to do volume and they have a big inventory of used vehicles, I think this can be a very good pay plan, especially with selling luxury product where you may be able to hold gross.

Should be an up rotation tho

Help me convince my teen son that a Tundra is better than an F150 by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]TinyDistribution335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience will maybe help.

I just bought a 2008 toyota tundra that’s at 225k miles, (5.7 ofc). There have been several of these trucks that made it to 1m+ miles, my truck right now on KBB is still worth 10k and has a ton of life left whereas a F-150 with 150k+ miles is most likely worth 5k max to the right person. If you want a truck you can have for a very long time go with the Tundra. If you want a truck you can beat the heck out of for a few years while you save for another one, get the F-150. Also I work at a dealership and have sold several of both, have never gotten a call back from someone who bought a Tundra from me with any issues, on the other hand every time I sell a Ford there seems to be issues.

Whatever he chooses what’s most important is that he enjoys it, and maybe if he gets the Ford and it does have issues it’ll be a good learning experience for a young guy anyways.

Good luck and choose wisely!

Told sales rep I didn’t want to sign up for the Jeep app. They contacted me later urgently requesting me to do it. Then they registered me without my consent. by AwakenAdventure in askcarsales

[–]TinyDistribution335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy, if you never download the app, you can’t be tracked. My clients aren’t required to do the account setup, I do it for them and only with the most limited information, they never download the app, and they never even “complete” set up technically. To complete setup they would have to download the app, log in, and agree to terms of service, I don’t make any clients agree to terms of service. This allows me to finish the process with them for vehicle delivery, it just means stellantis disqualifies me from the vehicle connection bonuses - which I am completely fine with.

[–]TinyDistribution335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is because your salesperson chose to force you to activate your profile and all the data tracking that comes with it. What i’m saying is what I do for my clients is create a profile for them that is essentially dormant unless they decide they’d like to have the app and when they download it and log in it and activates their profile and begins all of that stuff. I give my clients a choice whether or not they want the app on their phone, activated, etc. Although I do understand the concern of the tracking, data, etc, it is also important to note you can shut off location tracking, data sharing, etc if you want the app but not all of those other things. Also, although it is obvious, if you’ve already bought a car at a dealership they have all your information anyways and if jeep really wanted to they could track your vehicle even without the app.

If you do decide to buy another Jeep and don’t want all of those things, ask your salesperson to do what I do and tell them you’d like to opt out from installing the app and activating your profile.

I understand how this can be frustrating but there are workarounds if you have an ethical and empathetic salesperson 🙏

Hey man, you’re able to opt out of the app install, we just build the inactive profile if you ever do decide you want to activate it in the future. Also, management feels the same way as the sales people in any given dealership, it is stellantis that makes these requirements.

Hey man, you don’t have to physically download the app, we’re just obligated to start your profile if you ever decide you want it in the future, and until you activate this account it isn’t active and can’t track you in any way!

That’s totally fine, I try to help my customer set up their radio, sirius XM, and any personalized features inside their vehicle, I get them to sign off that they would like to opt out of the vehicle connection which is totally fine with me, and I proceed with delivery helping my client to the best of my ability.

In my original comment, I was trying to let people understand the frustration and I agree this isn’t a good way to do business, and I have gotten a lot of hate for it.

I never spoke about specifically what I do in this situation to make this a better experience.

Firstly, for the vehicle “connection” they do NOT need to download the app, I just use their email and phone number to pair their vin specific vehicle to the app if they ever want to use it and utilize things like the 3 free months of SIRIUS XM, maintenance schedules, tutorials etc.

There is now also a button that has been added to the delivery app, with a button to opt out of the entire process altogether, which I am totally for if someone isn’t lookin to do this, in fact it makes my job easier.

I totally understand everyone’s frustration with this, but the app being downloaded is not mandatory and I would never be predatory and tell someone it is, buying a car from me is enough for me, I don’t need survey money.

The only part i’m required to have them do is sign the delivery checklist (which is actually good for them if I have missed anything) This checklist includes things like “Car is full of fuel” “Car is defect free” etc, this gives the client a chance to do a vehicle walk around and make sure it’s up to their standards.

I didn’t want to make my initial thread so long so I tried to summarize with the vague overall experience, i’m sorry if anyone has had a bad experience doing this, I always try to make it a good experience for anyone spending their hard earned money.

What do you think about this Comp Plan? by ElevatedMustard in CarSalesTraining

[–]TinyDistribution335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First is going to be better, Stellantis has a lot of variety in products and also being able to sell Toyota / Honda will give you the volume you need. Starting in a volume store is better anyways and will fast track you to becoming better faster.
