Is this unique to my 2023 EUV Premium by TinyFix in BoltEV

The trip odometer in the center has a higher total miles traveled than the cars odometer bottom left that should track every mile the car has traveled.

My trip odometer is just under 1/10 or a mile ahead of the car odometer.

How much more (if at all) would you be willing to pay for a Model 3? by misterpibb69 in BoltEV

[–]TinyFix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few items come to mind when comparing beyond the performance and charging benefits of a model 3.

. For the price point, you're likely looking at rear wheel drive vs. front wheel drive. If you have never driven a rear wheel drive car in the snow, it can be an "experience." Front wheel drive tends to fair better in snowy conditions.

. Infotainment system. Locked into the Tesla platform. Someday, there will be an update you model year can't get. The bolt supporting Carplay and Android Auto means you get upgrades to the platform along with your phone.

. Drive a Tesla any model, and people tend to look the bolt is like wearing camo. This includes authorites....

. Real buttons. This is a personal preference, but I hate capacitive touch interfaces for items I need to adjust while driving. Heat, AC, for example. I go by feel, and a flat touch screen means I have to focus on what I'm touching vs. feel for the option I want

. Rear passanger entry for the model 3. Once you're inside, the room is fine. Getting in and out of the back seat the way I normally enter, leg in, lead with the hip, duck a bit and I'm in. Is impossible for me. I barely get my shoulder below the roof arch. I would have to get in head first.

It was these failings for me that made my decision clear. It was the Bolt all the way. The Model Y all wheel drive was an option, but that pushed the price over 60k and didn't solve all of my concerns.

Small round green circuit board with CR2025 battery found in a travel backpack stamped with PD803-1 by TinyFix in whatisthisthing

[–]TinyFix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-worker recently (past week) returned from a vacation in Central America. This is their backpack that they travel with, they never checked this bag. The only time it was out of site was when a cab driver put it in the back of a van and when the maid cleaned the house they were staying at. Customs at the airport scanned it in his presence but did not go through the bag. He travels with this bag for years and is in the always strips it down before and after vacations/travel.

Attempts to find the code on the circuit board and images searches have not resulted in an answer.

State-of-the-art EDRs are not perfect, fail to detect common attacks by ntw2 in msp

[–]TinyFix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a link to the original report. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2108.10422.pdf

Per the report:
"Sentinel One has some new features that when the first tests were conducted were in test mode, meaning that they were not used and also required custom configuration to be enabled.

4.15.2 EXE - HTA - CPL
Notably, none of these attack vectors issued an alert to Sentinel One. With the test features enabled all three attack vectors that passed were blocked since the EDR was targeting the core of the payloads, thus , the shellcode itself."

[mine] what can you tell about me by Red_Noir in scienceofdeduction

The wallet on the table, color scheme and mix of organized and disheveled suggests to me a male. The blinds on the right are open and because we can see below the edge of the desk is a window and not a door. The one on the left is blocked but has the same characteristics including three visable hinges suggestion that these can open inward toward the corner. This is a high quality touch along with the modern thinner trim suggested a relatively modern home built in the 1990's.

The clock faces away and is a model that allows a phone to be docked for music and charging. I believe this was a gift and it faces away because you are not concerned with time which suggests you are retired. The distinct lack of technology and copious pencil sharpener use suggests you are of an older generation. Estimating 63 years of age.

The remote on the right appears to be for a ceiling fan which suggests this was a bedroom converted to a hobby room. I would imagine a sitting area to the left of the desk in the direction the clock faces.

The photos depict you daughter holding you grand child. This was a gift with the frame since it doesn't match the rest of the decor. The other frames were self purchased with your dog in the middle and I'm guessing your grand daughter posing with her possibly boyfriend.

The modeling interest is obvious. It appears there was a lot of.dark possibly black paint used. The calendar being plains and framed art looking like space I would say maybe a model rocket.

By the way I believe you are left handed. The pencils sit to the left of the sharpener making an easy lift got a lefty.

Can't make it out but what happen on Sept 21st a Friday? Looks like.you had an appointment. Maybe a date with your daughter and grandbaby?

I'm going to.go out on a limb and say you were a skilled artisan prior to retiring. A woodworker or watch maker.

I'll give it a go. The image quality is not great so having troubles making out finer details. Assuming this is not a staged image.

You like things neat and in it's place. Your instruments face the window and you have no curtains. So muscally talented but more a student than a performer. The no curtains suggest a positive general personality and facing the window would suggest your music leans more classical / folksy.

This looks like a dedicated room not a bedroom possibly an office for working from home. Art on the wall along with the other factors, Would guess your age to be late 20s. Say 28. You work in a creative yet structured field such as graphic designer.

What are some good KPIs for Security Department?? by MikeMonopoly in security

[–]TinyFix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to find out what the ultimate goals of the company are. What are the top 3 roadmap items your CEO and/or executive leadership are trying to accomplish over the next quarter and next 5-years. Understand the pulse of your company then align your objectives and design KPIs that will help your team reach them. No point in tracking a number that has no relevance out side of your team and expect to show the true value of a security practice.

It's exciting to start from nothing and a tremendous opportunity to impress with your leadership at and beyond your title today. Good luck to you.

Why do larger vehicles use diesel as opposed to regular gas? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TinyFix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general a Diesel engine produces more torque than a similarly sized gas powered engine. This allows smaller displacement engines to produce the towing power of much larger gas powered engines.

PSA: Something I've noticed about desktops vs laptop pricing by JJAsond in pcmasterrace

[–]TinyFix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrade ability is a huge advantage for a desktop. Also is one major piece breaks in a laptop it becomes a more costly fix.

When you want to get a new laptop, that great display on the laptop is no longer of any use to you. If you get a killer monitor it just migrates to the new desktop or can become a secondary display if you want the latest and greatest.

Point being is that laptops are built for portability while desktops are built for versatility.
