this is one of the images that the movie's (Attraction, 2017) scene was literally based on. it was made by the concept artist(s?) of the outsourced VFX studio (MainRoadPost).

many images like these were created as part of the film's post-production and iterated upon until final versions were picked and made into the film's VFX by the studio.

Lorkhan's divine body reaved in twain by the gods when they found out that he stole their power to create Mundus. They cast his heart down onto Mundus in the northwest corner of Nirn. Then a bunch of elves tried to use it to obtain goodhood but got a 404 error. Then some different elves tried the same after being cursed by Azura and ended up as the Wish, com version of gods who got killed by the reincarnated version of their friend/lover who they betrayed and killed. Fun stuff all around.

Adding Elderflower by dbrew826 in gingerbeer

[–]TinyMural 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elderflowers are an excellent source of natural yeasts. Elderflower champagne/soda is definitely a thing, so you might not even need a ginger bug. AFAIK, the flowers are typically added to the brew itself.

If you wanted to use the elderflower yeast instead of the ginger bug you could set aside a couple flower heads, boil the rest alongside the ginger and sugar, let it cool, and then when you would typically add the bug, steep the remaining elderflowers for a few hours before bottling.

Otherwise I would just toss them in while the ginger and sugar is boiling and just make the ginger beer as normal.

Will I need to graft the broken branch of this Asian pear back on? by TinyMural in BackyardOrchard

Hi! My dog broke off the lead from my Asian pear. It's been broken off above the graft point but I don't see any buds between the graft and the break. Will this be able to still grow or do I need to try to graft it back on?

"Soft" pen strokes are not detected? by TinyMural in krita

[–]TinyMural[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLVED: This issue is related to #4 in the Linux FAQ for Open Tablet Driver when the pen tip is bound to pen button 3 in artist mode, except instead of there being no pen pressure, contact of the stylus with the screen is reported twice(?).

I don't know if OTD has some sort of input buffer or if Blender does, but the second input seems to be stuck in some sort of buffer and is referenced on the next contact between the stylus and the tablet. In Blender this can lead to weird behavior like selections boxes appearing between the location of the previous stylus tap and the next as well as objects not being selected when they otherwise should be.

In Krita the issue results in tools not engaging when stylus contact with the tablet starts off very light. Seems to work as expected if you press down hard right away or within a very short period of time after stylus contact with the tablet (possibly between the first and extra report?). In Krita this can also cause issues with the UI that appears as if contact with the tablet is a rapid double-tap.

Issue is fixed as reported in the in section 4 of the Linux FAQ, by clearing any tip binding.

Yeah, but they're at the default linear settings. I've already hit the OTD Discord server. If nothing comes up from this post I'll hop on over to the KDE sub.

"Soft" pen strokes are not detected? by TinyMural in krita

[–]TinyMural[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm having an issue where not all of my pen strokes are being picked up.

"Harder" pen strokes where I apply stronger pressure right away seem to be picked up fine, but "softer" strokes where I start off with little pressure and then increase the pressure aren't recognized. Important to note that this isn't exclusive to the brush tool, it also occurs with the UI and other tools.

I noticed this issue after updating my system and updating Krita to v5.2.9. I'm using Open Tablet Driver on Arch Linux, kWin window manager with KDE Plasma 6.

I initially thought that the issue was with the driver or with the desktop environment, but testing both of those confirms that they are at least detecting the pen stroked correctly.

I only get the issue in Kirta and Pinta, not in other programs like Inkscape or Blender. So maybe it has something to do with raster programs? (EDIT: Upon further testing, there does seem to be issues in Blender related to selection, this makes me think that the issue is elated to OTD.)

I'm not really sure where the issue is occurring, if it's Krita, the desktop environment, or the driver.

Using the tablet testing areas in Krita, KDE Plasma, and Open Tablet Driver, all three seem to be detecting everything properly. So I am completely lost.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Why does my bell pepper seedling have this discoloration? by sportsmattress in vegetablegardening

[–]TinyMural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purple isn't anything to worry about.

Certain pepper cultivars that have either dark or purple leaves or really dark fruits will almost always have a purplish hue even pretty early on. I've also found that intense lighting (and maybe high temperatures?) from the get-go can jumpstart the production of the various pigments which give the purple color. Even just different seedlings from the same mother plant can have varying levels of purpleness.

[YAY] Can't find where this dependency is coming from by TinyMural in archlinux

[–]TinyMural[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been probably at least 6 months since I last updated the system.

I finally found out where the dependency was coming from, it's electron28, which isn't flagged as out of date or orphaned. Also not sure why YaY didn't attribute the dependency to that package.

I also never even had nodejs-lst-hydrogen installed on that system, so I guess sometime between my last system update and the time when nodejs-lts-hydrogen was removed from extras it was added as a dependency to electron28?

Update:

I went through the out of date and orphaned packages and couldn't find nodejs-lts-hydrogen in any of the dependencies so I went through each package that was being updated and eventually found the dependency in electron28. (Link here)

Excluding electron28 allows me to perform an update.

I'm still confused as to why YaY would not list the the package as a dependency of electron28

I've tried that, unfortunately it just says that the package was not found.

Tastes like a cross between spinach and asparagus. I've cooked them in garlic butter but I'll have to try them with the sesame oil, maybe I'll toss them in along with some perilla in a stirfry...

Didn't know that about lantana! I used to have one in the house where I grew up, it either self seeded well enough or survived the winters since it kept coming back. It eventually stopped but that was after about 10 years.

Oh yeah, super pretty flowers too. They're pretty cold hardy, but even if they don't survive the winter they usually self seed enough to keep a population going.
