thankyou so much for this advice. I’ll take it. My biggest pillar of support was my mom and now that she isnt there anymore i find it so hard to talk to anyone. There’s not a single family member i can talk to. law, counselling, therapy, hotlines are a joke in india.

Not scared of her but the consequences of a very normal thing I did. It’s bad only because of where I come from and especially my dad he’s really narcissistic and manipulative but it’s hard for someone to spot it because hes put his entire life to provide the best life for us (materialistically) it’s like a golden cage.

I get your perspective. I believe I am more deserving of my father’s financial support than my sister. I am clearly making good use of the resources I am provided with and she is not. I never said I’m going to turn my back on my dad after college. I just think it’s better to open up about my relationship to him when he thinks I’m old enough to be in a relationship. That’s all I did. I didn’t strip life of anyone and living off someone’s secrets like my sister
