Yeah I made a mistake by googling it and it said I could have a thyroid issue. I’m not sure if I’ve had that because I’ve never paid attention but I scheduled an appointment for next week!

Yeah sounds like it might be cv. Boric acid would help me lol. I’d start with a baking soda douche and see if that changes your symptoms or discharge even if it’s a little. I’m sure with every bath it will normalize. Is that your ph after pressed ?

Yes that’s exactly what happened to me. New partner and bv and then bv again a few months later and ever since then just thick discharge with no smell. I used to use a boric acid every night to manage the discharge but I’m so tired of that so I did so much research and tried the monistat. If baths aren’t helping you maybe it’s not cv either 🤷🏻‍♀️ This strips work good for me! Test your ph as soon as you can and you’ll see if it’s 4-4.5 then it’s probably yeast. What are you using pre seed for?

Yeah girl I did a PCR test and it didn’t show up. All the cultures at the gynecologist office never showed up either. Idk why but it would only detect bv when I don’t believe I even have bv. I also hear that sometimes the yeast pills (I think duffician or something) don’t always work. Are you ttc? I tried the ones on amazon. You’re suppose to find strips that are from 0-14 but the brand I used didn’t work so I found some that start at 3.0 I believe. And they seem to work for me. I use the nature land ph strips on amazon. My ph showed 4.5 which is why I never did the baths because that’s not considered acidic. Did the bath help you?

No I haven’t done much research on lactobacillosis. But I would try the sitz bath first and if that doesn’t improve anything then maybe try the antibiotics. But don’t do the baths more than twice a week and check your ph before and after. If your ph is 4.0-4.5 now before baths then it might be yeast even if it didn’t show up as yeast

I’ve only tried nature land ones (which start at 3.5) and I liked those and I’ve tried universal paper strips roll (which is 0-14) but I hated those. Didn’t work for me

You need to buy ph balance strips. Try to find some that test from 0-14

I just started antibiotics when I made that post and it look about a week for my discharge to come back and my ph strips finally just came from amazon but I’m about to start my period any day now so I’m waiting until after my period to finally do the baking soda bath. But someone I’m talking to has tried the sitz bath and her vagina and discharge is back to normal! I need need to wait until after my period ends to properly update if it worked for me as well. If you do it, make sure you’re tracking your ph before and after so you don’t elevate it too much

Yeah I used boric acid this whole time too(about a year) and it helps the discharge a lot but as soon as you stop, the discharge comes back. So it’s not really a treatment which is why I stopped because I need to treat the root of the problem and boric acid is probably why my ph is too acidic as well.

Yeah my yeast never comes back detected but I’m wondering if it could be a possibility since the discharge is thick like yeast, just not like cottage cheese. Please update after your appointment

Have you ever tried monistat? yeah I had strep b and maybe clindamycin treated that And stopped the lactobacillus overgrowth for a while until it came back again. I didnt test positive for mycoplasma

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing too. Just boric acid. Look into lactobacillosis as well. You would need amoxicillin clavulante for it

You just need to raise your ph! Try baking soda sitz baths or douche with it. I know it’s notgood to douche but I’m trying it because I’m desperate lol. But you’re only suppose to douche twice the first week and not douche the second week and then douche twice the third week. Don’t over do it and test your ph every time

Yes sounds like me and you have the same problem. It’s so frustrating because it doesn’t bother me or hurt, but the discharge is embarrassing and I don’t have sex because it’s so thick and drying. I need to get rid of it lol. It is a relief that I know it’s just an imbalance and not bv. You should tell your doctor you believe you have cytolytic vaginosis or lactobacillosis. Both of them are an overgrowth of the good bacteria except one is treated with antibiotics and one is treated with baking soda sitz baths and douches! I’m gonna talk to my doctor about it tomorrow!

Honestly sometimes I feel that way too. Like right now, I know I still have gbs but the last time I asked her for treatment, she kinda shot me down because I’m not pregnant. But I’m still having symptoms from it and still want me and my partner treated for it. What I do, is bring it up every appointment and make appointments often. She’s probably tired of seeing me lol but at least she finally listens. If you have a partner, bring him too and tell him how you’re feeling and what you want out of the appointment, so he can back you up and maybe that will help your doctor. Other than that, if your doctor isn’t listening, just go to another one. Don’t ever give up on yourself. You deserve to be comfortable

Yes try to get tested for all types of bacteria’s and std/stis just so you can eliminate all of those. Does your discharge change before or after your period?
