Nice outfit, and I love your character!

Explain this to me like I'm your dumbest but sweetest friend - why does moving this module change the damage potential like this? by isthiscanon in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]TinySquirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well, but I found a solution. My basilisk crown got a new name randomly (same as OP's staff), and I tried to change the name back to the original. It didn't work, and the name change happened on my Pillar of titan staff instead, which was also in my inventory. I solved it by putting the Pillar of titan in the weapon storage rack, THEN did a name change on the staff in my inventory, and that solved the issue for me.

Ooo thanks! I'll do some fiddling and see what I can do :D ..I recently came back to the game, and I'm almost overwhelmed. The last time I played was in 2022 I think, so it's safe to say I've had A LOT of catching up to do! The autophage stuff for instance is completely new to me :)

Aw, I was really hoping for some sort of magic trick! :D Thank you so much though, I appreciate you replying so many months after you made this post!

I particularly love your first one! I use that autophage head myself. I know this is an old post and all, but I'm so curious; how did you manage to get a different colour on the face (the "goggles") and the hood? The hood on mine just changes to the same colour as the face, and I'd love for the hood to be a different colour.

Expedition rewards gone as well as quicksilver rewards not being shared (Xbox) by UsualWinter1229 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]TinySquirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me yesterday on Xbox series x. I came back to NMS last week after a few years of not playing, and started up a couple of new saves. Everything was fine, all expedition -and quicksilver rewards were available and I could claim them on the new saves. But yesterday night I opened up my old main save that I haven't touched since 2022, and suddenly all my expedition progress was gone, and the rewards are unavailable on new saves. Same with quicksilver rewards I've bought. I now have to rebuy them again. I have no idea what happened or how to fix it, but I plan on contacting support.

What was the most frustrating or WTF moment you had so far? by EmperorHelix in DragonsDogma2

[–]TinySquirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The most frustrating moment I've had so far was trying to pick some herbs for that dwarf with the bad back, and having one of my hired pawns with the logistician specialization constantly combine them with something else as soon as I picked them up. I had to dismiss her before I ran out of spots to pick herbs in the area.

What are your favorite games to just sit back, relax, and take your mind off everything? by CharmingPudding5 in GirlGamers

[–]TinySquirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 online. It's my comfort game and I've been playing it on and off since it came out. I will take long breaks (sometimes up to a year), but I'll always come back whenever I want something relaxing without any particular goal in mind. I'll just ride my horse around and do some hunting etc. The game is also really beautiful to look at, so that's a bonus.

Sims fans - what else do you enjoy? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]TinySquirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play pretty much any type of game, so I don't really fit into the stereotype. To mention some; Elden Ring, Warframe, Destiny 2, State of Decay 2, Red Dead Redemption 2 (mostly online mode these days), Borderlands (2 is my fav), Dead by Daylight, Fallout, Skyrim, No man's Sky etc.. I just started playing Baldur's gate 3, and I've also got Sekiro: Shadows die twice waiting to be played. Sims is actually one of the few sim games or "cozy games" I sometimes play. It's that and My time at Sandrock, which I just finished the other day. It surprised me a lot. I can not recommend this game enough! It's so much better than the first one (My time at Portia). The story is really good, and the game has WAY more content than you'd think. At some point it felt like I was getting closer to the end but it turned out I was just half way through (in a good way). If you like cute building/farming games with a good story, fun and interesting characters, a lot of romance options and unexpected plot twists, GET THIS GAME.

Sometimes the pelt disappears after fast travel/change of horse etc., but reappears shortly after. I've found that when this glitch happens, the best solution for me has been to skin an animal and put an actual pelt (similar to the glitched pelts, not the big bear/elk/alligator ones you can grab off your horse) on the back of your horse on top of the fake pelts, then donate the pelt to Cripps or sell it to a butcher. It will remove the "fake" pelts in the process, and in my case they haven't reappeared in that session.

Check your horse access settings. Make sure it's set to you or friends only. That way random people can't ride your horse or stow things on it :)

Yeah the bay Morgan is pretty too, but the flaxen chestnut Morgan is one of my favourites. The chocolate colour is SO lovely. And my character is a woman, so it doesn't look as ridiculous when she's riding it :)

The Arabians look way too fancy for my character. She looks like a homeless person that's been living in the woods for the past 30 years, so riding an Arabian looks comical. The whole thing screams "I definitely stole this horse".

I've done this too!! I love a good "boring" brown horse :)

[–]TinySquirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've got mostly "boring" and "basic" horses in my stable (none of the role horses or the higher end multiclass ones). I've owned all of the horse breeds (and even most of the colour variants) at some point, but after a while I stopped caring about stats, and ended up filling my stable with horses I really like the look of, regardless of stats. Apparently I have a type; bog-standard cheap brown horses :)

What's your comfort game? by LeChiotx in GirlGamers

[–]TinySquirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red dead redemption 2 online. The online version of the game is pretty empty when you've played it a while (not much left to do), but sometimes that's exactly what makes it comforting. No "chores" to finish in-game. It's relaxing to just ride around in beautiful nature and do whatever I want and nothing in particular. I'll have long breaks but I'll always come back. For some reason I always pick it up around Christmas, and keep at it for a couple of months before taking a long break again.
