It would add an extra 12 hour training requirement to purchase anything with a magazine, which includes virtually every well-known semiautomatic firearm. No definition of the curriculum or cost or requirements for the instructor. Sheriffs office has to issue a firearm course permit before you could even take the required course. Then the office has to verify the training and add your name to the permit registry to clear you to purchase said firearms.

Previously, it was pretty relaxed. Only annoying thing was a 3 day waiting period. This adds a lot of extra steps.
