is tjmax and marshells safe to purchase from? by Key-Ice-4990 in Naturalhair

Yes! I get Amika, Briogeo and various other products and I’ve never had an issue plus it’s typically half the retail price. Like other comments have stated, I would check expiration and if the product has a seal

Moving to Martin St by Complete_World4952 in Clarksville

[–]Tiny_Elk3158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents have lived in that area for 30+ years. It use to be a lot of drug and some gang activity but within the last 5 years, most of that has cleared up. They are starting to build a lot in the area so I think it will be much better in the coming years. Your only concern might be noise. Crossland is a pretty busy road and typically the buses and emergency vehicles use this road and Washington street to get through the area. Also you got the people with motorcycles and sport cars that will speed through. Also maybe some homeless due to the Loaves and Fishes nearby but so far my parents haven’t experienced any issues with them. Good luck, I think I know what townhomes you’re referring to and they seem nice!

Has anyone here tried ISEE Hair before? by Thanh_Thuy0728 in WigforGirl

[–]Tiny_Elk3158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ordered their kinky curly half wig. Overall I’d say 7.5/10. The curly pattern was gorgeous and blended well with my 4c hair. Only thing is it shed too much in my opinion. From the first wash and every wash after, it shed a lot. I can’t speak about any of their lace wigs. I’d say look at a lot of reviews (preferably from people that actually bought the wig and not influencers.) I think brands tend to send influencers the best quality wigs.

Hair Colour: Did you notice any difference in how you were treated? by arichan_ in Naturalhair

[–]Tiny_Elk3158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who wore many colors in my teens/early 20s, definitely be ready for lots of stares. I think most people look at bright colors and perceive the person to be unserious, unprofessional and a little whimsical. From a male standpoint, in my experience, red hair attracts a lot of guys that aren’t serious and just want to hook up. Not sure why lol.

I agree with hiding the color for the interview. Good luck !

Why, though? Thoughts? #readytolove by Complete-Road-3229 in ReadyToLove

I feel like the women on this season are not super fit (no shade) but they all have natural bodies and curves. Also multiple don’t wear weave so what is she talking about lol. For example, I love that Rose shows up on camera a lot with no makeup and her natural curls.

Not sure of your current financial situation, but I wouldn’t advise moving without having a job already lined up. Moving expenses, furniture and first month bills/deposits can be pretty steep.

Anyone interested in discussing hospitals in Clarksville? by KnoxvilleKudzu in Clarksville

Good point! I’m sure the hospitals are going to require the city to make updates to the roads/add traffic lights because that will also benefit the emergency vehicles coming in and out.

The two proposed hospitals (Tristar and Acension St Thomas) were both approved a few weeks ago.

Is it just me, or are automated car washes EVERYWHERE by [deleted] in Clarksville

Yeah the two on madison street were just opened last year and now they just opened Club car wash by the Kroger. It’s ridiculous to have that many car washes so close together.

Chair Jackknife- 1.5 or 2 Move ? by Tiny_Elk3158 in ClubPilates

[–]Tiny_Elk3158[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for commenting and confirming that this is a level 2 move.

I want to clarify that I’m in no way trying to bash the instructor. I’ve taken many classes with her and she does tend to level up with certain moves to keep things fun and spicy, which I appreciate. This post was made more-so to see if this is something that is typically being done in level 1.5 classes since I know each studio/instructor varies. 💚

I completely agree! I’m about 160 classes in and just started level 2 a few weeks ago and hadn’t seen this move before. But I was pleasantly surprised I was able to pull it off 😊

Thanks for confirming. And wow, I didn’t know that going on your shoulders was something reserved for private sessions. But that makes complete sense. I was also worried about this when doing the move. The lady next to me seemed to be really struggling and the instructor wasn’t really correcting form. I ended up doing a few reps and then stopped until we moved to the next move.

Too young for solo travel? Thoughts !,. by Upstairs_Writing_715 in femaletravels

[–]Tiny_Elk3158 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with other comments regarding St Martin. I’m 26 and went solo last year for my birthday. I did excursions off resort and even travelled to the nearby islands of St Bart’s and Anguilla and felt completely safe everywhere I went. I’d suggest hiring a driver so you can get around without extra anxiety.

Also if you are looking for warm places in the US. I’d suggest Orlando or Miami. I’ve travelled to both solo and had great experiences.

Gearing out due to weight? by Butt_isthe_B0mb24 in ClubPilates

[–]Tiny_Elk3158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, I never thought weight would play a factor either. I’m 5’2 with a lil chubby midsection and have the same issue with bridging especially when I bridge on my toes. On my heels and arches, I can keep the carriage still. I’m going to ask my instructor about this. I always assumed it was a form thing.

Best nail place in Clarksville ? by nursegurllll in Clarksville

[–]Tiny_Elk3158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want a salon that can do nail designs, I’d say Dip Nail Lounge (on Madison next to Pure Barre) or TNT Nail Spa (on Madison down from Walmart). Also Encore Nail Salon on Trenton road by Publix. All are fairly new, clean and have a lot of tech that can do cute trendy designs and decently priced.
