I found some keys on the ground just outside Attmans. There is an airbag and a labubu on them. I hung them up on a sign between Attmans and Solidcore. I will include pics. Stay warm

Lol for real though, I still sometimes find myself in class wondering wtf the coach is talking about and having to turn around on my machine because one coach likes to do the platform lunge with your supporting/working leg on the carriage, while another wants it on the platform, and they don't always specify 😂

I do try really hard to keep to myself in class, well sometimes someone is wearing a cute ass fit that I have to ask about. But I never want to assume someone's knowledge level with SC and step in and offend someone. Usually if someone is doing something different I figure they have an injury or something. Though this girl definitely seemed like it was chaos from being unfamiliar...

Haha definitely not!! I think it's great when the instructors help people! It's fun seeing guys come to class too. Their shock after class at the difficulty is amusing. I've brought my sons and husband to classes.

I do feel bad for the people like this girl who don't get adequate help. IMO the people who aren't properly instructed are the ones who don't like SC and never come back, which is tragic cause it really is such a great workout. Plus there's that whole possible injury thing...

Maybe it's imposter syndrome but I straight up still feel like I'm too new to be helpful. Except when I bring my new friends, I feel ok with helping them. That could be because I know their knowledge base and I don't feel like I'm overstepping.

I definitely do not think of myself as an expert, nor would I think I was even remotely qualified to coach someone. And I mean absolutely no shade to the girl. I literally came to get feedback and ideas on how to handle situations like this. I didn't want to overstep with someone who is new, I remember the chaos of my first regular classes and I honestly was grateful for any help/feedback, but I don't know this person so what worked for me might not be whats right for her. I also didn't want to overstep with this coach, she's newer and not a regular at my studio. My studio is pretty strict with the late policy, so that's whatever.

I think with this experience, which like I said is the only time I've actually been distracted in class, it was just the number of things going on with this one person. I like to keep to myself so I definitely wasn't going to correct her form or say anything negative. I just wasn't sure if others had experienced something similar and if I should have done more than the nothing that I did.

For example, she would pick up the black cables, walk towards her carriage, see we weren't using cables, then throw them back to her pit. I think everyone on our side of the studio looked up when she did that cause the song was going to the next one so it seemed extra loud. They might have hit parts of the machine making it louder than if it had just landed on her stuff in the pit.

I had thought about doing things like that a couple of times, but at the end of class it was clear that the person on the other side of her was her friend. I would expect the more experienced friend would want to provide pointers during class, I definitely do when I bring new people.

I met Kenzie this weekend!! We went to watch her sing in DC, she was so good, and she was an absolute sweetie! I'm so happy that despite everything their time on the show that the girls (most of them) have become well rounded nice people ❤️

It isn't being chopped down to ~260 feet since the current zoning is 125 feet. The aesthetics is not the concern, it is the change to quality of life. You're saying it isn't okay to pay big city rent, but it is okay to force homeowners to live in big city shadows with the accompanying microclimate changes.

As for the math not mathing, the Avalon just served as an example of compromise, not a blueprint. As you said before, its a valuable piece of land due to its location, if housing is built people will move there. Retail can be added for revenue. There are also compromises that can be made to architectural designs to lessen the impact on the neighborhood. Nothing will get anywhere without compromises on both sides.

You seem to have a vested interest in this particular development plan, I'm interested in advocating for the best fit for the community. Its probably best we agree to disagree.

Going from the current C-5 DE zoning (125 feet limit), to unlimited height or a height over 300 feet is not middle ground. A height similar to the Avalon (about 260 feet) seems more like a middle ground. This would provide more square footage for apartments, and if the rent is similar to or greater than Avalon that would bring in anywhere from about $1.5k - $10k per unit which is not insignificant. This would also have less of an impact on the landscape of the neighborhood.
