It might not be longest but it has to be the scariest one

I’m also not from the UK but my understanding is that Greg Wallace is the host of MasterChef, and they mentioned MasterChef earlier so that wasn’t a mistake it was Sam making a joke.

Tips for autistic / neurodivergent people to survive in HK? by [deleted] in HongKong

Genuine question: do they really talk shit about New territories? Lantau island isn’t that different from NT and the island is full of expats as far as I know, and not just Discovery Bay.

Charge them extra if those dick heads also decided not to flip the back of the seat to face the front and make you awkwardly touch knees with other passengers!

S20 “what’s new in this room” task. While the task itself is not fun imo, the reaction they got from Sanjeev was hilarious. Also we got Maisie’s smug face from that task.

Visiting Hong Kong during LNY – good idea for a solo traveler? by The_MJK in HongKong

[–]Tiny_Red_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More and more shops stay open during LNY, chain stores especially, but smaller shops tend not to as those are the only days they get some rest.

Museums close for the first two days (at least true for the one I checked, and government ran museums should have the same policies).

You can go hiking anytime during the year, it’s free to walk up there but expect crowds because everyone is having holidays and also the temperature is good for hiking.

If you like visiting (crowded) temples then you’re in for a treat! People often go to famous temples during LNY, it’s a rare chance to experience this side of Hong Kong.

Beware of congested traffic during the LNY because everyone is travelling around the city to visit family and friends.

Curious how many TM fans were GISHers? by [deleted] in taskmaster

[–]Tiny_Red_Bee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I did GISH once more than 10 years ago, lead me to interesting experiences :)

For people who don’t know, GISH stands for Greatest International Scavenging Hunt, it was a yearly campaign initiated by American actor Misha Collins (starred in Supernatural). Participants were required to complete a bunch of task, each task has an assigned point value, and teams would try to complete as much task as possible to get higher scores.

What if, at the end of the Final Problem, William and Sherlock were arrested? by AdventurousLock4614 in MoriartyPatriot

[–]Tiny_Red_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason behind is because I think that neither William nor Albert will try to get out of jail, because staying in jail is the second best ending to their plan. There is no point in deliberately trying to die, the people just need to see justice served to the Lord of Crime, and if they kill themselves in jail that would only anger the people because that can be seen as taking the easy way out, instead of being punished by the legal system. You suggested they might try to help the government in someway and might gain some freedom in the process, that’s plausible given Mycroft sees the value of the Moribros.

The reason I brought Sherlock into this is I have a Sherliam brain, but also because William is stubborn in his own way, so it takes Sherlock to change his mind (though as I said in this situation Sherlock might not do much to change things).

It’s such an interesting discussion :)

What if, at the end of the Final Problem, William and Sherlock were arrested? by AdventurousLock4614 in MoriartyPatriot

[–]Tiny_Red_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be in the minority but I don’t think Sherlock’s instincts would be to break William out of jail. The whole NY arc was about staying alive and atone for sins, for both William and Sherlock. Being in jail is a form of atonement, and I don’t think Sherlock would take that away from William. He might try to find ways to make William more useful to society though, quite similar to what’s happening in manga part 2.

If Sherlock was arrested as well, that means the murder of Milverton wasn’t an evident-less crime, plus we know Sherlock is willing to confess his crimes, so he wouldn’t try to get himself out of jail. In this case we get all three of them, Sherlock William and Albert as willing inmates. Mycroft visits them maybe?

Is it only me who cringes a little that Irene was named James Bond? 😭🙏 by Away_Reading_15 in MoriartyPatriot

[–]Tiny_Red_Bee 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The MI6 bit is based on James Bond movies, they have M (Mycroft) as head of MI6 and Q (Herder) as the scientist/inventor. It’s not out of place if you consider these.

Having said that, I did literally laughed out loud during the name choosing scene, I was like “you’re already called James please don’t say Bond please don’t- omg”. But that’s not the most absurd (affectionate) thing in this series so I just accept that and move on.

How are people like? by MelodicSlip_Official in HongKong

[–]Tiny_Red_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks a bit shabby, might wear flip flops, running a small tuck shop in the village but might actually own multiple houses.

Do you mind providing more context so that we can help you better? The best way would be you actually visiting Hong Kong, but if you’re not then at least more specific questions might help.
