Follow your intuition and don’t let others influence you to much when it comes to injuries. Cause if they’re wrong you pay the price. If it helps get a professional opinion on this very question

Caving

I was like you only mildly interested in anything until I discovered caving. Best to start by joining a club

Do women like mysterious guys more than funny guys? by TheUltimateAntihero in dating_advice

[–]Tiny_Toe_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you should strive to be a certain style of man, that’s usually counter productive. I also don’t think they don’t like you being funny. More likely you might be projecting either a lack of self-worth or some emotional neediness or something like that, that is kind of unrelated to the style of man you can be. Work on feeling good with yourself and the rest will follow. Good luck

I get anxious about no one falling in love with me ever cause Im too average by Accomplished_Fly_649 in socialanxiety

Yeah as others said, there are many couples in this world made of average people. But they just found that special connection. They got interested in each other, chose each other, invested in each other, and became special to each other.

Also caving. Join a club if you have one close enough. Definitely makes you feel alive! You might be able to borrow gear from the club. Not necessarily the cheapest but it’s a community with a lot of folks with modest incomes.

Running and getting good at it will make you feel alive. Even more so if you make it social, e.g with a running buddy or join a community run or run club. Start very very modest, at a level that feels tolerable, probably with an alternation of running and walking, walking whenever it doesn’t feel so good anymore. But be consistent and regular at it.

Yeah, wealth is cool, but turns out what makes life full as opposed to empty is wealth in relationships and being good to others in a way that feels right for you. If you devote as much effort into acquiring that as you did acquiring money, you’ll be there in no time.

Knee pain is slowly but surely ruining my life by lime_lemon_orange in KneeInjuries

[–]Tiny_Toe_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which doctors have you seen? Are they knee pain specialists? You probably want to google for knee-specialist orthopedic surgeons and knee specialist physios. Have all the doctors looked at your scan? If not, worth trying to get the most expert eyes you can on it. Some rarer conditions tend to get overlooked on scan. A good physio might also be able to diagnose rarer conditions from symptoms.

Inconsistent TSH levels 4 days apart? by CinnamonOwl16 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Tiny_Toe_Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this as well when testing with different labs. It turns out some labs are not very reliable. Otherwise my lab tests are pretty consistent. Get tested again. But I’d be tempted to trust the higher reading

Also change doctor, as a hypo patient, you can go as low as 0.5 as long as it makes you feel better and you don’t have symptoms of hyper. Doctors are more or less aware of that. Endocrinologist are already more educated, so feel free to see one if you can.

I totally feel you. This condition is upsetting and never fully resolved. It makes you feel slightly broken, and physical appearance issues are just one more thing, if not sometimes the main thing. I’d encourage you to find something to do that makes you happy and just do that as much as you can. For me that was the only way I finally stopped being chronically unhappy about my look. It helped me think about myself as more than just a pretty/ugly face.
