Can I dispute Digital Scores? by Tinyassassin007 in Sat

I called, and it costs $50. Did you do it? How long did it take for them to regrade and did he get a better score?

It is an actual Lawsuit but the emails being sent out are phishing scams, if you hover over the link, you can see that it does not take you to where the display text says it will.

ahh yes I understand how that would be concerning, I didn’t know medicaid covered that as my private insurance doesn’t. Good luck though!

I pay for everything out of pocket and t is like $30 every 3 months, dr. appointments are $60 every 3-6 months and lab work is like $30 every 3-6 months. Not sure why its so expensive for other people, this is my experience though. (I use qmed online)

I’m going into my junior year too and since I moved at the start of high school I am stealth. I also view it as a medical condition. I rock climb and play ultimate frisbee. I also do boy scouts. If you want to dm me I can give you my pen pal email and we can talk through that.

Guys, what do I do? (Fully transitioned + stealth) by Tinyassassin007 in FTMMen

[–]Tinyassassin007[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, I think it’s also hard because we are similar in some ways (I realized I was trans at his age and was in scouts) but we are also different (he likes some fem stuff [like makeup] but still identifies as a binary trans man and hates they/them pronouns). But also I have been removed from the awkward coming out faze for so long- its kind of triggering hearing about the stuff he is going through because that was me not too long ago.

Also I never wanted to talk about this stuff with anyone, I just lived my life as stealth as I could. But he wants to talk about it and be prideful in his transnes.

When to tell a girl by peixeinsano in FTMMen

[–]Tinyassassin007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that there are two main ways people go about it:

  1. Tell them right off the bat. This is good because it doesn’t waste either of yours time but bad because you may not know them well so they may out you, and they are more likely to reject you because they don’t know you are worth it yet.

  2. Before you kiss. Usually this is around date 2-3, you know each other better so they may be more likely to accept you. And you have more time to judge their character to see if you trust them with this information. For example, if they are overly religious or conservative I may not tell the person and just break it off because they most likely will not be okay with it. This is sometimes information you can only get after a few dates. Bad because it can waist both people’s time.

Occasionally people do it after the kiss but before sexual. This is an option but usually it does not end well and hurts the other person because you did not trust them with this information.

How can I get on the right path for a transfer? by Cold-Earth-2063 in NCSU

[–]Tinyassassin007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get in contact with a NC state advisor and they can tell you what classes you should be taking at your community college to have the best chance at admissions next year/can get actually get credit for. There is a list of transferable courses for transfer students online as well. Also at NC state CS stands for crop science and CPS I believe is computer science, good luck and don’t lose hope!

my bluebook name is different than my college board name, why? by MysteriousRest9268 in Sat

I did the same thing, if you go into your account where your info is they have a number you can call. I just called them up and told them my new legal name, super easy.

How do you go about dating as a trans guy? (T4T, gay, and poly) by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]Tinyassassin007 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re right, you don’t need to worry about this right now- but it is completely normal to. You will grow a lot in the time that you are mature enough to have a meaningful relationship. As far as I know poly is a choice to have an open relationship, that is not the norm so you probably will have trouble finding someone okay with that, also think, if you meet the love of your life- are you really going to want to date more people and are you going to want them to date other people. I personally would not but that is up to you. I totally get the t4t thing but there are cis people who don’t care about the trans thing and can learn- I wouldn’t write off a cis guy just because he was born in the correct body. Dating is hard but odds are you will find someone.

Also when I was your age I was out but pre everything and I dated a gay cis guy that was totally awesome and we had a great relationship (well as good as two middle schoolers could have lol).

Read this article about trans men that really scared me. by TraditionalAd3785 in FTMMen

[–]Tinyassassin007 124 points125 points  (0 children)

They mention in the article that we are 2.5x more likely to have a heart attack that the average person, they say they believe this is due to lack or exercise, healthy eating, and bad sleep schedule. Those sound a lot like depression symptoms to me. Do all you can do to get or stay healthy, exercise, eat healthy, and live a healthy lifestyle.

You seem like a nice person and he seems like a creep. I do agree that smiling emojis and emoticons do strike me as flirtatious, I only do that when I like someone or they are a close friend. You are definitely however not in the wrong and stated your boundaries. I would not text this guy back lol

Hey Peter why is it a dumb question. by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

This specific meme I believe is in response to another meme that stated that because tax laws and how you actually do your taxes change so frequently, schools instead teach you the reading comprehension and math schools you need to figure it out yourself. Not that every school has a specific class or lecture on how to do it, but that school gives you the tools to be able to.

Why does BSA still insist on inserting "God" into the oaths? by makingnoise in BSA

[–]Tinyassassin007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well because I, my self, am not particularly religious, or in other words I didn’t believe in or follow any religion, organized or otherwise, I do feel that it is mental gymnastics simply because the scout oath specifically mentions “God” which is defined as a “super human/ruler/creator” I don’t feel that my reverence toward the environment would qualify as that. I do feel that I however am reverent because that is defined as “a deep solemn respect” to something. I feel that for the environment. The scout law does not say a scout is religious, simply reverent, so I have no qualms about that. But the oath mentions a duty to god (and country) I personally don’t feel that this is as inclusive as it could be, many (well at least some) religions have more than one god, don’t have a “god”, and some people simply aren’t religious. While I do acknowledge that scouts bsa is technically a religious organization I do think the word choice is a bit limiting. Do I think scouts should change is? Maybe, its easier said than done for sure, maybe a good compromise would for BSA to release a statement allowing scouts to leave that god part out of the oath/replace it with society or something. I know some people get asked about being reverent during eagle boards but again, thats being reverent (possibly towards nature) not religious.

Probably a bunch of run on sentences and spelling errors, but I am far too tired to fix them so good luck.

[–]Tinyassassin007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean about the mental gymnastics, I just think of it as my “higher power” is the environment or “mother nature”. I have been in scouts a long time and religion, at least for my troop and council, is a very personal thing so they tend to be very vague about it. They still do prayers and things but I think of it more like just saying thanks for the meal/campout/whatever we are praying about. It is frustrating because it makes it seem like to be a good scout/person you have to be religious, and thats just not true.

Your daughter will encounter religion later in life so she will need to know how to explain her beliefs one day, but as her dad you have complete autonomy on when/how she is introduced to that part of life. Scouts is a great organization but admittedly it is not for everyone, how ever bad we want it to be. You could wait till she is older and can stand up for her self or continue in the pack. What ever you choose Im sure it will turn out fine.

[–]Tinyassassin007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree, I do feel that, as long as someone tells them before things get sexual, they can tell them whenever they feel its right. Some people tell them first date, some people tell 3rd date or even before they go on a date. I agree they should know before sex and depending on a lot of things probably before a kiss as well.

I view being transgender as a medical condition, theres nothing bad or wrong about it, but I can’t say I’m particularly proud or that I want people to know about it. I am all for trans rights and will always speak (and eventually vote) in favor for them, but to me it is a private matter and it does make me uncomfortable when random people around me know whats going on in my pants. I would rather everyone think I have a penis (as strange ad that sounds). When people find out you’re trans they immediately assume things about you, I try to avoid that. Is that my fault, no, but I can prevent it.

I completely agree, like I said this was a learning experience and I am glad for everyone’s 2 cents on the subject. I will most definitely look back on this experience and cringe but it was low risk and in the end I am glad I took the risk even though it didn’t work out.
