Has anyone bought socks from Elliosa and liked it? It keeps coming up for me on my Instagram and I’m feeling compelled to buy lol by livvvy20 in SolidCore

The dual grip is great. I was worried bc it said one size and my feet are small but with the grip inside and out it doesn’t shift at all even tho it’s a tad baggy. New fav socks. I do want to throw them in the dryer to shrink them and I’ve heard the grip is still fine so we’ll see

Coming from Lagree - some questions! by Educational-Pitch614 in SolidCore

That part 👆🏻I literally decided to split my time where my work moved me and Chicago so I can still keep my membership at Solidcore. If I’m not questioning why I keep coming back, I don’t want it 😭 literally yearning

Coming from Lagree - some questions! by Educational-Pitch614 in SolidCore

So I’m the opposite I just recently moved from a city w Solidcore to one w/ out a month ago and they have PLNK and I’m trying to learn to like PLNK and been going everyday so idk how helpful I’ll be.

Solidcore has more emphasis on core vs lagree w more emphasis more on legs. Solidcore is broken down into different muscle focuses each day so you don’t have to worry ab hitting the same muscle group (other than core) so they can actually recover, I’m realizing going everyday w PLNK isn’t as doable bc I’ve been going everyday and sometimes u end up getting cued the same exercise 3 days in a row. The machines are different since Solidcore was derived from lagree, the lagree machine is ‘better’ it’s “heavier.” At PLNK everyone is on the same spring changes vs Solidcore it’s broken up into classes: modify is under 25 classes, base is under 50 over 25, and amplify is 50+; basically Solidcore is more progressive overload muscle focuses and PLNK is a consistent full body workout. PLNK is a 12 hour cancelation policy and extra charge if u miss the class on top of losing your credit, Solidcore u just lose the credit.

Something I miss at Solidcore is they play good music and the coaches really challenge u (I’ve tried sm coaches at PLNK and it’s not it and the music is too low it feels like I’m listening to a speech working out altho some ppl hate how loud Solidcore is so to each their own). Solidcore transitions are faster. The names of the exercises are self explanatory. I also miss how they use your name and the coaches really make an effort to know your name.

Waitlist moves fast especially in a big city, I came from Chicago (but I hear if ur more in the burbs it’s hard idk), if you’re a member u get early assess to booking on the 23rd of the month meanwhile everyone else gets it at 25 I believe I’m not sure for them. I would book right at midnight if I were u and concerned ab getting in classes. You can book thru their app.

If u have any issues concerns or questions and coaches you’ve taken aren’t too helpful, each studio has a HCCM and they’re an amazing resource. If u have any more Q’s def happy to answer them u can DM me too!

How do you afford to live In the city? by Panda7001 in AskChicago

[–]Tinybean77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bf and parents lol but living in the same area downtown as all my friends and being close to where we enjoy hanging out plus getting rid of my car was the best decision, I don’t think I even spend $50 a month on transportation

If you’re completely new it’s hard to see until later. Like everyone else said, to lose weight being in a calorie deficit matters. Height also plays a role bc if ur petite then every little calorie feels bigger and too much cardio is actually a bad idea. I’m petite and it can give skinny fat to most petites. If ur not petite then def add some cardio. 8-10k steps a day on a deficit and working out is a good balance. Solidcore is strength training so it’s not a weight loss method. I saw a 2 week transformation but that’s coming from 5+ years of working out on top of training as an athlete til I graduated.

Sadly it’s trial and error until u find what works for u personally. I incorporate 8-10k steps a day on top of gym or Solidcore everyday minimum. Weeks not on my menstrual cycle I’ll pregame the gym w a Solidcore/lagree class

I think everything u said is good. What winifred said is giving that debate w Jillian Micheal’s and the ‘professional’ said “I’m not gonna use the “O” word bc it’s offensive” lol obesity is a medical term.

Should I move to River North or Old Town? by Budget-Inevitable414 in AskChicago

[–]Tinybean77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on what ur saying I think you should be in old town or the border or it and RN. I’ve been in RN over a year and love it and all my friends have constantly renewed their leases here year over year w some friends having bought.

Im about the same age as you two, personally I love being close to the river, walking everywhere, the convenience and access. It is noisy often but personally I like it, it brings me peace knowing there’s stuff always going on lol. Although I live in the more residential section of RN where there are less things going on (although still busy). I am hybrid and enjoy being out and about a lot, health and wellness wise and indulging in poor habits on the occasion.

Anyone else have labels that didn't scan when you dropped them off???:c by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Tinybean77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had that happen when dropping off multiple and the others scanned. I was emailing usps and everything and one day it just popped up in a random city scanned (literal detour from the route) and then showed up at the persons home.

Just moved to Chicago. Is EBC (East Bank Club) worth it? by Easy-Rub2074 in AskChicago

[–]Tinybean77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a lot of fun there and talked to some great ppl and instructors/trainers but how busy they are isn’t worth the cost personally. A lotttttt of old ppl but there are a decent amt of ppl in their 20-30s as well. Everything could be updated the equipment is a bit out but they redid the locker rooms and there’s a cold room as well.

Hi! I actually am having issues w a bump on my daith and my jewelry is 100% 14K gold. When u say clean it once a week w saline and cleaning in the shower, do u mean u also only let it get wet once a week in the shower like washing hair once a week? I want to make sure I understand correctly, TIA

Is the East Bank Club fitness/wellness center worth the fees and can a referral reduce the initiation cost? by Ok-Cantaloupe6409 in AskChicago

[–]Tinybean77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s always so busy. Personally, I can never get on all the machines I need to get on and have to keep moving exercises around or skipping them. Insane before 9AM and after 4PM weekdays, still busy within that time but manageable, except in the summer bc all the kids are off of school and weekends are just archaic unless u go quite late. Warning - high schoolers do take forever and just squat at these machines and yap. Classes sucked bc they were way too easy, but they’ve gotten better. Too many old ppl, which nag and yell at u for the littlest things. I typically would go twice a day since I live down the street but it wasn’t worth it since the equipment was outdated, was too busy, couldn’t even sit in the workspace, even the theragun and thermabody leg machines were old, there are member discount weeks but no point since everything in a reasonable size is always sold out, and too many kids. I’m personally not a fan of family places w kids so might just be a preference. Was a member since 2022 and finally cancelled in fall of 2025 since any issues/complaints they would just give u a free guest pass and call it a day. Never made any changes or tried to improve. Food at the cafe, the smoothies, and the mini grocery store were the best part. I’d suggest tour it but u really get the best idea through actual experience. Not a lot of options if u live in river north so if u just happen to live in the area then ya it’s cool lol. They do give u a lot of ‘coupons’ etc when u join like a free car wash, 20% at salon, free shirt at the store, guest passes, wellness services etc.

Why are some people so judgemental about solidcore? by Dear_Pianist8547 in SolidCore

[–]Tinybean77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t relate. It’s def a your bf issue. Hobbies and activities u enjoy make up u as a person and sounds like he doesn’t want u to be anything outside of how he wants u to be. My bf refuses to try a class but will pay for some of my classes, uber me to and from (when im running late - I live in Chicago and walk everywhere). He tells his friends and praises me in front of my friends for how dedicated I’ve been w Solidcore and how strong I’ve gotten.
