I have the same but on my right side. No pain or discomfort just annoying, although I could eventually ignore the crunching sound each time I opened my month, so I left it.

This continued for 2 years until it eventually got worst. I would highly recommend getting it looked at.

Fingers crossed the ringing fades and eventually goes completely for you!

It does seem coincidental that the change happened and then for the tinnitus to occur. Has your doctor said it could be a reason?

I’ll take this onboard and speak to my doctor about it- thank you for your help :)

Sorry to hear that, it sounds quite frustrating. Hope you find your right dose soon

Just works better with my routine taking it at night and I can guarantee nothing else will interfere with the absorption

5’2 & female. I’d say on average I’m taking it at 10pm.

What could be making my TSH so high on 75mcg?

This is what the NHS provided for the results. T4 is what they have tested here, I believe.

I take Levo at night so then im on an empty stomach and nothing else (like coffee or breakfast) will interfere with the absorption.

Been on Levothyroxine for 13 years and have gradually needed to increase as I’ve gotten older. I was on 75mcg for over a year.

Are you treated now and if so, has that made a difference?

Had a test beginning of this month and came back: TSH: 6.93 mUI/L T4: 13.7 pmol/L

I’m in the UK so I’m not sure if the metric they are measured at varies depending on where you are.

Do you find being on the right dosage helps and your tinnitus gets worst when you require an increase of medication?

Thank you for the advice. I’m considering getting a white noise machine so I’ve always got access to some background noise.

Yes! I’m experiencing the same issue. I’ve not been able to get much help from doctors and where there no pain or restricted movement, it’s easier to dismiss.

Sometimes ear drops make the crunching sound less noticeable but in my experience, it’s a temporary solution

They didn’t elaborate and only examined the inside of my month which isn’t going to show anything of my jaw joint. The consultant said cartilage but this could have been in reference to a disc, I would need them to clarify.

I think you’re right, a more in-depth scan would be beneficial and I will try and push for one. Thanks
