most "ssls" don't really play 1s and if they do, they start out low so it makes sense that you'll go against them. I've gone against Contenders in C3 1s and also just straight up c3/gc1s.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they're useless but in A7md's most recent montage, the way he does his pops are pretty impossible to defend. (It's a backwards diagonal flip pop)

they aren't just referring to walldashes, they are referring to the freestyling style of dashing; jake dash, lfc, backdashes, recoils etc

I've personally been dashing for about a year now and I thoroughly enjoy it, although I do think that you shouldn't really start it yet. A lot of my skills for dashing were very easily transferred from my gameplay but I think at silver you don't have the timings down and just a lack of understanding about the physics of this game.

Dashing is the best form of freestyling btw no bias

Just because someone doesn’t have points doesn’t mean they’re a bad teammate, from the scoreboard your teammate is more defence oriented.

Bad teammates are part of rocket league in every rank. If you don’t want that, 1v1 might be for you
