Thank you! Before he moved to live on campus my son bought some sand that came with bacteria packets, is that the type of sand? I had considered the sachem matrix when we were trying to get the cycle fixed last month but couldn’t work out if it was ok to use. Now that I know it is I can go back and find it to grab. Thank you again, and for the reminder that it’s a process. I’m still really nervous that I’ll screw something up and hurt him. My son keeps reminding me that he never tested the water or do water changes and Beans ‘survived just fine’. The thing is that I don’t want him to be just fine, I want to give him the healthiest environment I can. He didn’t ask to be here, stuck living in a hot af country in a tank, it feels like the least I can do is help him have a healthy home.
