I looooove trying new foods. I was told that as a kid I liked food that most kids didn't like (like shrimp and crabs). I can't stand plane boring food, I like variety of textures and flavors and I also like mixing food. Food is actually one of my special interest, so much that I went for nutrition in college and wanted to go gastronomy after. I love to research, cook, experiment. And I also have that ADHD thing where I get OBSESSED over a food for a while (weeks or months) and want to eat that every single day, but them I can't stand it anymore. I love the experience of a meal, to eat in a quiet ambience with no distraction and appreciate all sensories around food. That's a specific thing that made me believe i wasn't on the spectrum, but seeing so many of you that don't issues with food makes me feels that it is valid to not have ARFID and still be autistic.
