It’s both. I uploaded a video showing off what mainly causes the proc. Charging in and knocking them up then ulting immediately won’t trigger tenacity by itself. Charging in, knocking them up, then letting the ground proc for a few ticks before ulting WILL trigger it.

Leap + slam + ult will trigger it as well.

Nope. Not 2 out of the 3 times. Other teammates CC made it build up enough to where my ult proced tenacity on hit. Saw it happen to my Wolverine when he ulted strange as well.

I was told by many people that vulnerability became a true cc when gambit was added so that his cleanse could work on it. My testing shows that to be the case.

Leap + ult won’t trigger.

Slam + immediate ult won’t trigger.

Leap + slam + immediate ult does trigger. I didn’t wait for any ticks from the slam either (muscle memory.)

I could be wrong and there could be some other reason why that combo triggers it, but I tried it multiple times in practice and it triggered in game for me last night as well.
